SMF Media Gallery (SMG) - 2.0.5 is out! (December 2)

For 2.0 RC1:
It says that I can't make an album because my files aren't 777, and all the files are 777.  SMG works fine on my other board (1.1.8 running 1.5.5).
Running 1.5.6

is there a way you can change permissions on  the gallery i have installed on the forum, so i can choose who will have what permission on the gallery.

on an individual user basis?  no.

on a membergroup basis, yes. look in the smf admin > permissions

We need to do these first:
- Put out a complete changelog (which is hard enough, because we can't really use the svn changelogs, as they're often conflicting with SMG 1.5 updates)
- Finish features that are currently being implemented. I don't know about Dragooon's, but I have a couple of the fire for now. One of them being really a tough one.
- As Dragooon would like to start SMG2 on a clean slate, we'll have it thoroughly reviewed by the SMF mod team before it's available for download. Good luck to them, as it's really become a HUGE pile of complicated code since v1.0... The overcomplicated stuff is thanks to me, lol.

Thats pretty much it. I also need to fix up a few compatibility issues as well as make sure it is fine in SMF 1.1, add some help docs and a few bits here 'n' there.

As a temporary measure, you could create a new group for that particular user(s).

Great error in premmisions now it wont unsstall says ur date base is messed and now my FTP is saying every thing in Packages isn't  777'ed and now I'm frigged! HELP!

Didn't work either.  I may just wait until SMG2 gets released and try to see if that works.

As long as you're talking about 2.0, let me insert a suggestion/request.

When people arrive at the Media Gallery, they're just not seeing the thing at the top which directs them in the two different directions of albums and user albums.

Albums - User albums 

I have trouble remembering where to find it myself because it just blends in.  Could you add a User Albums shortcut to where you currently have "Home - Search - My Albums?"

Still-- per-user album access. Which is enough for me. Permissions are more or less related to moderation features. Most people will want to fine-tune who can view their pictures, rather than who can modify them. I think
Per-user permissions would be overkill, obviously. Even SMF itself doesn't do it. (This is when membergroups enter the game.)

i cant find the permission on my permissons tab, how do i fix it to make it work

When the Forum Admins log in they are able to see the gallery link and able to view the gallery, But when the other memebers log on to the forum they are not seeing this and when i have checked the permissions, i cant see it installed and there is a block there as and no wording and not sure what is causing these issues

When I installed this mod it said.... ERROR (DO NOT INSTALL MOD) because error in the Modify permissions. I Try'd to manually edit it which turned out to be a bad idea because now when I uninstalled it... every things still there but only me the admin can see it.
So now when I went to reinstall it, It says that I can't becasuse the file is not Chmoded to 777.
