Hello, I was curious if it is possible to import files from one smf gallery to another? One of my sites had the database ruined, and I was curious if there was anyway to save the old images. I tried downloading them to my hd and doing the following -

I changed this:
Quote from: Straight from FTP416_800-by-600-77805-20051014001138_jpg1d4e7b060dd8012755ae44f18dac2674_extjpg

to this:
Quote from: After I changed it416_800-by-600-77805-20051014001138_jpg1d4e7b060dd8012755ae44f18dac2674_ext.jpg

However, that didn't seem like it worked because all my images ended up looking like this:

I also tried using a batch file to change them all to .png and that REALLY didn't work lol. Any ideas?

the suport that give for this mod in this topic or in it official page is 0
And as a language moderator, your mastery of English is quite impressive too.

So, I was on a 5-day trip to Holland, I just came back and I'm being criticized for taking my first days off since March. On a free job. Good spirit, guys!

Seriously, that's precisely this kind of stupid message that draws me away from community work. For one cool guy/gal who appreciates the work and/or helps me with me, there are 10 bozos like this one who make me want to stay away from SMG/Aeva even longer.

I'm hereby resigning from any tech support on this topic. I won't be available for questions on SMG. Any PMs about SMG will be trashed immediately.
I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered.

Hey Nao, I don't agree with your maths either! I think it is the other way round. For every 10 cool guys/gals who appreciate your work, there is 1 complete bozo who is a pain in the ass. The problem as I see it is that the 1 bozo spoils the fun for everyone else. And you take the bozos too seriously.

I really hope you'll consider because most of us appreciate the work you do on this and the AEVA mod. I think Dragoon is cool too.

PS. (and this is way off topic!) If I knew you were in Holland, I would have invited you over for a drink.  :D  I hope you had a nice time.

I agree with Soms.

It's a shame the good guys are punished for what the bad guys do.

The other issue is that these bozos often happen to have a SMF Team badge next to their account name... Talk about a family... :-/

Hmm I couldn't sleep correctly for several days (I missed my good old bed), but it's a fine country. Visited Amsterdam for a day, and then we stayed at a friend's in the Rotterdam suburbs for a couple of days.

Can we have a list of what site's we can embed from because im not sure if all sites are supported :)

I hope that I have a simple question, I tried searching with no results, maybe I wasn't phrasing it correctly. 197 pages is a lot of thread to wade through.

I installed SMF Media Gallery a couple of months ago (SMF 1.19) and the basic install went without a hitch. Created a few general albums, custom icons, user albums, etc. Love all of the nifty features, especially the simple embedding and familiar commenting.

Here's the problem: I can't get video to upload, it tries for a while and then kicks back to the original add an item text editor/submit panel and it's blank. I'm not getting any error codes (unless they're in the error logs, I'll look in a minute) either. I've set the maximum file size to nearly 40 MBs, and a 5 MB video won't upload. Nothing fancy, just regular AVI or QuickTime .mov files. Embedded video works fine, as do pictures, although the largest that I've tried was around 700kb.

Permissions for the mgal_data directory were set at 755, I changed them to 777 with no change. Has anyone ran into this before?

thanks!

Update:

I did find two error codes in the admin area.

8: Undefined index: gallery_shop_commentadd
File: /home/Forums/Themes/default/languages/MGallery.english.php (settings sub template - eval?)
Line: 1318

8: Undefined index: gallery_shop_picadd
File: /home/Forums/Themes/default/languages/MGallery.english.php (settings sub template - eval?)
Line: 1317

Any clues?

And as a language moderator, your mastery of English is quite impressive too.
Language moderators are not translators or nessescarily involved in anything English related. They are "only" moderators of their native language boards. So they just need to be able to speak their own language properly ;)

I have just installed SMG 1.5.6 on SMF 1110 and TP 104 and I think it's a great mod to use hands in hands with TP. But there's something I don't know whether it's a bug or am I missing something. I've imported more than 100 albums from Coppermine and they all show in ONE single page! no "next" "back" buttons! I searched diffrent forums but I couldn't find anything on this matter. Can anyone using SMG shed some light?

Nao 尚

@kingkingston> Install Aeva and you can embed from any site in its list...
@akyhne> Yeah, GravuTrad has the same problem with English, only he's a nice fellow, he doesn't post on a topic to pick on the mod owners because they've been away for a couple of days... I was told a few months ago that anyone with a SMF badge should try and follow the Team guideline.
@rich> check your php.ini max upload settings
@rich²> gallery_shop_* is not related to SMG... Probably SMF Gallery Lite or Pro. Uninstall it.

I wondered about that "shop" thing too. I'll check the php.ini

thanks

Im running SMF 1.1.10

I have 1.5.6 SMG installed

Im trying to install 2.0b1

in my packages window it shows 2.0b1 as being an "older version" and gives no link to "[Apply Mod]"  only links are to
and [Delete]

Also, I just tried to upload a video to 1.5.6 that is about 95meg. After about an hour of what looked like a successful upload in progress... my screen refreshed and it showed the blank upload screen with no text in any of the fiields and no file selected... the file i was uploading was nowhere to be found. My max upload in my php.ini is set to 128meg...

what would cause this?

please help
Kindred

well, you have to uninstall 1.5.6 first....

I know you have alot to do but if you get the time could you look into this problem? I also wanted to say this is my favorite SMF Mods! Good work :)

Generally speaking, no answer = I don't know. And I don't know. Probably a corrupted hard drive, too...?

Hi on install I get "4.   Execute Modification   ./Sources/Load.php              Test failed"  I read that I have to add something to the load.php but I have very little experience doing this so I don't know what to add or where to add it in the file. can anyone give me a hand?
