Maybe someone else has worked this out (please)

I wish for all guests and members to view the gallery. I would like to restrict newbies to viewing rather than adding an album or posting to a general album.

I would also like to allow regular members to upload with self approval as at this moment in time as I am the only regulator.

The problem is that under permissions newbies fall into the same category as regular members which is 'all for one and one for all'.

I am using 2.RC1.2. Does any one use something similar and if so how do you set the permission ?  I've tried membergroups, permissions etc but cannot find the answer.

Sorry if I've missed something obvious  ;)

Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.

I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered.

well, you have to uninstall 1.5.6 first....

Where can I find instructions on how to uninstall it?
or
do I just use the [uninstall] "button" in the admin>packages panel? will this remove my galleries and all the images and videos members and myself have uploaded?

Just hit uninstall. I would make a copy of the folder just in case it decides to delete it(to be on the safe side.)

It's a bug with SMF's package manager it happens with other mods also.
No Pm's for support please!

I installed the MOD on 2 RC1.2 and encountered the following install errors:

6. Execute Modification ./Sources/Load.php Test failed
  1. Replace ./Sources/Load.php Test failed
  2. Replace ./Sources/Load.php Test failed
  3. Add After ./Sources/Load.php Test successful
  4. Add Before ./Sources/Load.php Test successful

I did the replacing and adding, cleared cache and still the same. Please advise. Thx

2.0 beta 1 released

I ended up having to upload a back up of load.php - the one I posted cause a 500 server error. See anything wrong with it?

Thx

ethankcvds

Find:// SMF Media Gallery if (isset($_REQUEST['upcook'])) $_COOKIE[$cookiename] = base64_decode(urldecode($_REQUEST['upcook']));

replace with:
// SMF Media Gallery
if (isset($_REQUEST['upcook'])) $_COOKIE[$cookiename] = base64_decode(urldecode($_REQUEST['upcook']));
