Yeah, you can simply select the contents of a subfolder and direct it to an already created album. I did it for Foxprog. Importing many albums at a time. Dragooon did a good job on that. But it won't create the albums automatically, nope.
I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered.

Nao (or Dragoon) can you offer any wisdom about this?

Never mind. Problem solved!

The second one is an error with the view only boards mod.
The first I'm sure has something to do with an other mod also.

wow.... neat.   that IS a good job.

Kindred I take it you were referring to my very detailed post.  ;D  The problem was one I inadvertently created. I operate 2 SMF forums. While manually installing the latest SMG, I mistakenly adapted the changes to the wrong load.php file. I finally figured what I did wrong and righted this.

(I think he was referring to our posts, actually.)

yup, I was complimenting Dragoon on an impressive job with the ftp upload capability which handily bypasses any issues that I was having with mass upload and importing 2300 files from Gallery2 into SMG>

I third it!  This has easily quadrupled the speed in which I can move mass quantities of data to the gallery.

Can you guys help me? I have SMF 1.1.10 and SMF Media Gallery 1.5.6. The problem exists when I try to upload mpg video to the gallery. I keep getting the error message below after about 4 bars on the progress bar. I'm trying to upload videos in the 28 to 50 meg range and I've already changed my max file size to much higher than that. A friend told me that the connection to the server was reset while the page was loading but I don't have that much technical knowledge to try and fix this myself. Here's the message:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.

What you can try:
Diagnose Connection Problems

More information

This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:

Internet connectivity has been lost.
The website is temporarily unavailable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain.
If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section.

For offline users

You can still view subscribed feeds and some recently viewed webpages.
To view subscribed feeds

Click the Favorites Center button , click Feeds, and then click the feed you want to view.

To view recently visited webpages (might not work on all pages)

Thanks for any help!
John

Make sure the gallery files are properly extracted. There should be MGallery.template.php in default theme's folder.

@jbholden> If you're using SMG2 and are an admin, please use the FTP import option for very large files. At least it's a 100% guarantee that it'll work.

ı use this for random

But In this code, I have excluded some cats, it is :

$excludecats = '62,8,48,7,6,50,45,46,9,69,36';

The code I use:

global $sourcedir, $user_info, $ID_MEMBER, $context, $txt, $galurl, $galurl2, $scripturl, $settings, $db_prefix;

   require_once($sourcedir . '/Subs-MGallery.php');
   loadMGal_Settings();

   if(loadlanguage('MGallery') == false)
      loadLanguage('MGallery', 'english');
$excludecats = '62,8,48,7,6,50,45,46,9,69,36';
  $items = getMediaItems(0, 6, 'RAND()', true, array(), 'm.album_id NOT IN (' . $excludecats . ')');

echo '

<table border="0" width="100%" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="4" class="bordercolor">
<br />
      <div style="font-size=110%; font-weight: bold; line-height: 1.8em;" class="titlebg" colspan="2"><center> Medyadan Enstantaneler </center></div><div class="smalltext" style="text-align: center; line-height: 1.4em;"></div>
';
   foreach($items as $item)
      echo '

   <td class="windowbg2">

   <div class="smalltext" style=" line-height: 1.4em; border: 1px #000000 solid; padding: 5px;">
  <a href="',$galurl,'sa=item;id=',$item['id'],'" title="' , $item['desc'] , '"><img height="90" alt="" src="',$galurl,'sa=media;id=',$item['id'],';thumb" alt="" /></a><br />
      ',$txt['mgallery_views'],' : ',$item['views'],'<br />
   </div>
   </td>';

echo '
   </tr>
</table>';
