Hi Nao,

I updated the first post for you. :) The only thing I changed was the version of SMG.

Hey Nao,

Great work as per usual. Upgraded to 2b2 without much fuss and everything seems to be working fine.

Just wanted to alert you to a VERY minor issue: the copyright notice at the bottom of the gallery is still showing 2b1. (SMF Media Gallery 2.0 beta 1). The same goes for the admin area 'about' section (Installed version: 2.0 beta 1     Latest version: 2.0 beta 1)

If I come across any more glitches I'll let you know. In the grand scheme of things if that's the worst of it then you're doing well. :)

Great job on an already fantastic mod!

SMG 2.0 beta 2 is officially available.

Nao, thanks for keeping things going for SMG!  I have an update question regarding Foxy and Slideshow.  I want to verify that those two should be uninstalled (in any order) before uninstalling SMG, is that correct?

@kindred> Thanks!
@blinker> Ah, yes indeed. I've reuploaded a new version of the package with the version change. Forgot the one in db_mgallery.php. Hopefully there aren't any others left... This is the first time I'm committing a version of SMG by myself, i'ts bound to happen. As for the About section, I can't do anything about it -- I don't have FTP access to smf-media.com so I can't update the version number over there.
@tfs> I think you have to uninstall Slideshow but I'm not sure. There is no need, however, to reinstall Foxy!, since it doesn't touch any of SMG's code.

Re: Dragooon being away -- got hold of him today, he said he's lost interest in SMG so I guess I'll be on my own to finish version 2 (please send your donations to paypal at kyodai.com lol :P). Hopefully he can fix his permission profile bugs when he finds some time because I'm not touching these even with a ten-foot pole.
I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered.

Uh it's not a function, it's simply inside mgallery_home() or something in MGallery.php ... Then it's shown through the template.

Where the code for the recent and random item / comments lists are, there is this function

smg_item_list($context['recent_items'])

paulfrance

hello to all
I have an error message when i try to upload a video
Fatal error: Call to undefined method ffmpeg_frame::resize() in /home/tubeycom/public_html/malesblackgay.com/forum/Sources/Subs-MGallery-Vital.php on line 1014
Can you help me please
Thanks to all

Nao 尚

@akyhne> it will depend on him.
@sangwe> it frigging depends on what you want to do with it...
@paulfrance> what is your version of ffmpeg? Try to disable it (or php-ffmpeg or ffmpeg-php, can't remember) if you can.

Basically, I want to limit the catagories that the recent / random items and comments gets the list from, so that it will work with my subdomain mod.

I managed to limit the catagories shown, depending on the subdomain your at, but you dont really want an item in the recent / random lists that not in any of your catagories on that subsite, but in a seperate catagory on a seperate subsite.

Another note, i'm using the 1.5.6 version (2.0 didnt work well with my server at all for some reason =/)

Shades.

I found a yes/no field in the gallery admin that has no explanation/option. See attachment for better detail. ???

Petee

I cant seem to rate items with this new Beta version.  The dropdown menu is there, but nothing happens when clicking the Rate It! button.

@petee> this is because Dragooon changed the system to use Ajax instead. Apparently it doesn't work for everyone, but we have yet to see the issue in action. Works for us at least...
@bozilla> first entry is the "clear thumbnail names" stuff. It's in the updated language files. If you're using a UTF file, don't forget to update it with the MGallery.english.php file instead. Second entry -- I don't know, it shouldn't be empty. Does anyone else have this problem?

Cool, thanks Nao.

Out of interest, are the changes to the code quite minimal? If so, could you post the differences. I'd much rather edit a template rather than uninstall and reinstall just for the sake of a few lines of code. If it's a pain in the ass don't worry about it.

LHW

Stupid question time, Nao...what directory does the PHP.INI file go in??

sangwe11

Ok nvm, did a little rework instead to get the recent item lists how i wanted them

thanks anyway

In reference to the "Rate It!" bug, if there is anything I can do to help track it down, please let me know.
