This probably means your server is too restricted to make uploads through PHP.
I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered.

Which button do you mean neo_rambo?
The add album link in the albums tab.
If you mean the "Add General Album" link in the gallery admin, then yes it is still there.

I'm wondering if I try uninstalling & deleting everything to do with the gallery and re-installing it again if that might help  :-\

Does anyone else have any suggestions or how to go about this please?

tripl3r

Is there a way to make the gallery display files size in MB instead of KB??

How I can chek this?

Nao 尚

@spiritl> I don't know, I'm not on your server...
Is PHP Safe Mode enabled?
The filesize() function should be available everywhere, really. If it isn't, it means either the server has a special version of PHP with several features disabled, or the temp file wasn't uploaded at all.

@tripl> Err... I don't think so. Does it have only files > 1MB?

I tryed to update SMG to 2.0.5 on my SMF 1.1.11 forum but I can't install it. I recaive this error:

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/hosting/drz-italia.com/smf/Packages/temp/db_mgallery.php' (include_path='.:') in /home/hosting/drz-italia.com/smf/Sources/Packages.php on line 556

Thanks...

Didn't I specifically tell you to stop using our software? You didn't follow the license rules, by attempting to sell a plugin for it without even consulting with us. (And you didn't discuss this with us either after I took action.)

In case it isn't clear enough: no, you do not have authorization to use my stuff.

I didn't receive any message from you... and I can't find my topic in smf-media.com... Why you delete my topic?

I apologize for the plugin, but I think a simple warning message could be sufficient to clarify .... the plugin isn't available.

In any case do not understand why my message on smf-media.com been deleted ...

Nao 尚

I deleted your message because I felt offended by it.
Should I not be?

Our policy has been to offer an entirely free gallery system.
I myself have worked fulltime on it for over a year now, asking for nothing in return. (Except respect for my work and my self.)
I'm very proud of it, I'm happy with it, but it doesn't pay my bills. I don't ask for money because I have other resources which work fine for me and I'm doing this out of passion, but I don't see why other people should earn money off SMG/AM. If someone should be paid for it, it should be Dragooon or I, shouldn't it? So, if you wanted to make a plugin -- fine. Many people have offered mods that install on top of SMG, we don't have problems with that. But offering them in exchange for money? I don't even understand why you complain that your post was removed. It only makes sense to do it!

I did not want to offend you. I wrote you in private so as not to soil this topic.

You said you warned me but I have not received any notice. As soon as I realized that I had done something wrong I've apologized and deleted all my modifications from my site. Then if my punishment is exile for life, I accept it, although as I said it a second chance by everyone. I read the license and not think of doing anything wrong (point 3 of your license).

The message deleted to which I referred, is the last one I entered. I posted a message identical to that on simplechines where wondering why I could not install 2.0.5 SMG. It does not concern my plugin.

Unfortunately I can not see smf-media with my account (I can do it as guest) and then I cannn't search my topic. I can not access smf-media, I think I was banned. Just asking to be notified before any action.

I'm sorry for that happened, not my habit offend people nor their work.

It was there until today. (Has gone since then, indeed.)

The terms about selling mods weren't clearly specified (they are, now, in Aeva Media), but in any case, given the license terms, it was pretty obvious you should contact us for anything out of the normal.

Just as you said: you posted an identical message. I don't see the point in having a conversation in two places at the same time. Do you?

No. I just checked, and you aren't. You would have a message saying you are banned if you were, anyway. You must have a proxy issue.

To everyone:

I'll soon be putting an end to my support for SMG.
Aeva Media is in official beta, and considered more stable than SMG 2.0.5 at this point (i.e. all bugs from the Aeva Media development period have been found and squashed, and many bugs that are in SMG 2.0.5 have been fixed in Aeva Media.)
I would release a SMG 2.0.6, but really, it would take me too much time to develop, and I need that time to work on AM.

So, basically:
- If you need support for SMG, come back here, but I can't guarantee I'll reply. I can't even guarantee I'll read your post. (Although I probably will.) And even if I reply, the answer will be along the lines of, "Please upgrade!"
- Only Dragooon shall officially support the mod. Although AFAIK, he's currently MIA when it comes to SMG.
- I would recommend to upgrade to Aeva Media. It's the equivalent of SMG 3.0, only with a brand change.

Send me phpmyadmin access (by PM, yes), I'll throw in a fix for free.

I know you are not supporting this software, but just wanted you to know.

Upgraded to latest version. A regular user created an album with "Regular Members" access. But Global moderators don't see this album, unless "Global moderators" is selected under "Membergroups".

Nao 尚

It's not really a bug... It's just that Global mods is a primary group. If you want them to have access to regular members stuff, just add them as a secondary group instead.
I understand your point though -- logic would dictate that global mods have this lovely global mod logo for everyone to know and fear.
I'm not sure whether the issue happens in Aeva Media.

But the text says:
Membergroups
The following membergroups will be allowed to view the album and its contents. If the "Regular members" group is checked, all board members will be able to view it, so you don't need to check other groups (except for Guests).

It's way to much to ask people who creates an album that they need to check this and that group. I've got 16 groups in that forum.
