I address to Aaron and to all other developers of a kernel and developers of style "Curve". Really you so hastened that have not completed style up to the end? Here some bugs, please, correct them and make style "Curve" high-grade!

1. On screenshot Bug-1 notice such trifle. The revealing menu has a white background. And actually in this theme of the menu has a silver-grey background. Or it only in admin a white background? It would be desirable a white background of all menus, a trifle, but all the same a minus.

2. "Square" buttons moreover and with a turquoise background very much not to the person. (bug-2). It would be desirable to replace them with the "approximated" buttons. Against the others, they it is simple not in a theme, fall out of design

3. Here too to approximate! BUG-3

4. The set of icons the new is necessary! BUG-4

bugs mean something thats broken not something you dislike

Arantor

So where were you testing this out, out of interest?

We would note that the release to (paid) charter members is a pre-release and that there are known issues it to be resolved prior to public release.

I have spent interrogation on Russian community of support SMF and community about style "Curve" I have announced opinions of participants of it here. So stikki that that I have written it not only to me not to like.

Arantor, at a forum of Russian community www.simplemachines.ru

1) This has been fixed a while ago. Now all menu dropdowns are consistent with a blue/silver/white-ish background color.

2) Huh?

3) The post template has not been converted to look good on curve yet. It's still work in progress.

4) Not a bug... We may or may change those icons in the future.

Arantor so I also want that you (developers) have changed all four points before public release RC2

By 2, i think he means the quote has the closure first instead of opening. (")

Arantor

With 2, the style of quotes is different compared to the previous release.

My other concern is that this is not being reported by a Charter member, so you can see my concern, can you not?

zetatalk

BUG 2 consists that corners sharp citations at a window. If have started all to approximate in "Curve" that approximate all the rest. Corners sharp are badly looked against messages with the approximated corners.

Arantor

If you make every single thing curved, it uses a lot of space on the page. Curve never set out to make every little detail curved. It isn't a bug.

zetatalk

Some details nevertheless need to be made to "approximate". And this not only my opinion.

Arantor, really among all your crowd (SMF Team) there will be no someone who "in silent" would spread all to what has access.
That is - a platform of a site, a blog, style of the registration, all releases, etc. Really at you "absolute trust"? So does not happen. Somebody yes breaks rules and in it will not confess.

SMF Team needs to be checked up on a lie detector! Ha-Ha-Ha

Arantor

I'm not sure I understand what you're getting at.

What needs to be made 'approximate'?

As for the SMF team, are you suggesting that one of our team leaked this prior to release? This has happened before - a LONG time ago, and the person concerned was removed from the team very swiftly.

I trust everyone on the team. If I didn't, I wouldn't be part of the team. I know the rest of the team feels pretty much the same way.

Citation corners should be not "sharp" and "round". Clearly? Look at the SCREENSHOT.

Dark blue points, it is round corners of usual messages. Red points are sharp corners of citations.

I after all speak. You are too assured that anybody from developers shares nothing. Then why you are concerned by what I can have something from here? How I then could receive style etc. and releases if with me, on yours, nobody has shared because you consider that the Team works on the word of honour? I cannot in any way and to receive anything with SMF.org if only someone from a Team itself with me does not share.

bullbreedluverz

well to me they look like hr (horizontal rules) and as far s i know you cant make rules/borders curved in ALL browsers as they arent supported in certain browsers like IE and Opera as they dont support moz/webkit rounded borders

zetatalk

I use various browsers. Everywhere too most. Stikki you attentively read that that I write. It not only disturbs me it and others are disturbed too by whom tests this new style "Curve '. Do not philosophise.

Antechinus

Stikkki, curve does not use any vendor-specific css like the moz/webkit radius classes. It only uses valid css to W3 standards. All rounded corners are done with one image.

zetatal, you are not describing bugs. You are describing personal preferences. This doesn't mean that you are wrong, but it doesn't mean you are right either. If you want to change things you can customise the theme to your heart's content once it becomes publicly available.

zetatalk

Antechinus, I have told that have spent interrogation among Russian community SMF. I have learnt their opinions and many agreed, that I have described above. I name it bugs. Make style more high-grade!

Do you consider Charter Members as developers? If someone has provided you who is a Charter member, then he/she is not a developer. I am just clarifying things up. Because it seems you are confused between these things.

zetatalk

No. I did not speak about Charter Members. I had in view of Core and Lead Developers. And also web masters. That is all who has a full access full or nearly so to resources smf.org

@zetatalk

If the developers spent 3 months sifting through every element and adding curved corners to them to satisfy you, then what about the countless others who think its nice as is? What about those who may not want every single container in SMF to have curved corners? Now, they will be starting threads to voice their opinions of what the theme should look like as well. Curved corners or not, the style of the theme is not a bug.

You can't say because you don't care for the look of a Ferrari that the car needs to be fixed.
