I just received an announcement through email. My current forum does not show the option to automatically upgrade to RC2. Current version is 1.1.10

You are on the 1.1.X branch, it will only recommend updates to that "line" so the next upgrade you will see will be 1.1.11 if/when we do one.

You can upgrade to SMF 2.0 RC2, by using the large upgrade package on the downloads section http://download.simplemachines.org/

Please keep in mind this will break all modifications and themes, SMF 2.0 has had some major work done to its core.

Will there be an upgrade option when 2 goes gold that will not break the mods?
Also when 2 goes gold will support for 1.1 end?

No. The codebase is completely different, so this will not be possible.

No, I don't believe so - We do still support 1.0 even

Upgrading from one branch to another will completely remove all your mods. So yes.

Yay! I think curve may speed up my time porting from default (well, the new curve theme) to my stuff sinecure the css makes a lot more sense now
