I want to implement this Gallery within my Mambo+SMF Bridge'd.

Where is the mod to do this? This would be a new install and would also be a beta test if needed.

There is only 1 requirement I would need.

That a certain membergroup of SMF have access to post there pics in there own album, but have ALL members have access to see ALL pics.

Please let me know ASAP. I want to install this today !

I'm interested only for the albums not for the members, or comments of the Gallery. I have a Gallery with about 5616 photos in 30 albums and don't want to do again all the job that I'v done!

Gallery2 is a major improvement over the original Gallery, so you should love it. It's a lot bigger and more complex than Coppermine, but it's quite powerful.

As for where to download it - it seems they've changed the URL again... It can now be found at http://www.absolve.com/Gallery2Download - Gallery2 Codex.htm

any chance we can auto copy images attached to forum posts to the gallery and also keep the uploader details (i.e. username)?

That would be nice if every image uploaded would become part of the gallery if the person wants to.  Maybe a check box in additional options.

The 1.1 version will be released a bit later than the 1.0.5 version because I've been developing everything in 1.0.5, and I want to take advantage of all the new integration features in 1.1, so it's easier if I finish the 1.0.5 version first and then modify that to work with 1.1...

gerry... in theory, not only should this work with TinyPortal (which, after all is still a superset of SMF) but with the php block ability in Tiny portal, you'll be able to run the "image block" function from gallery2..

Cool. I'll give it a proper go once the next version of TP is out and its fully working on my test board.
