Sorry for the previous post. It's only because I see devs after devs (Nao is important like others, as he also explained!) leaving the project or stopping (maybe temporary, maybe not) their support/contribute.. And of course this is happening, how can they work in this climate? Why working on a MOD for a project with the future (at least) unknown..

Anyway, sorry.. I'll wait for this hoping all will be solved asap ( ):

It's hard to read posts like yours without a sick feeling in my gut.  Alas, I've begun looking around as well, but haven't found anything I like yet.  I do run some WordPress systems, and I like it, but it's not a forum. 

Whichever way you go Nao, I want you to known that I (and no doubt thousands silently) appreciate your dedication and hard work.  Aeva Media is a work of art.

Nao I've noticed a bug I didn't have in previous revs (don't know which one caused this problem... but I think 207 or 206). I've attached a screenshot. This is the syntax I've used:

You can see the caption text is duplicated (it doesn't in preview, only in the post!!).

Guys, I'm sorry that I couldn't release 1.0 Final today. I was on the verge of doing it at some point, and then my browser crashed and all of a sudden I had to rewrite the help file (grr). I'll be doing it tomorrow instead.

I'll use the opportunity to look into Lorenzo's bug. I had already met it, and was pretty sure I had fixed it. I'll need to reproduce first. I think it's due to a CSS bug. This thumbnail shouldn't show the "Details" link at all, which means it's not taking the highslide-caption class into account, and is simply showing both the preview caption and the regular page caption at the same time. Anyway, I'll see that tomorrow.

tfs, I like WordPress, but I don't really use it. I converted my original WP blog to SMF long ago and am very happy with it. You can be sure that if (when!) a solution is found to help SMF live on, I will stay onboard. From what I heard today, the current team is open to some ideas that would satisfy me even in case the management doesn't resign.

Firstly, Aeva Media is awesome, I previously used coppermine and this mod has it beat in nearly every way.

With that said, I am having some issues with the view counts of videos, as in, it doesn't seem to be working at all. View counts for photos is working just fine and everything else seems to be in order. The problem is the same for both locally hosted AND youtube embedded videos (haven't tried other embedded videos). Is there something I should be looking at specifically?

Currently running 1.0 Beta 5 on SMF 2.0 RC2

My youtube links are duplicated in the Viewing area. I have the latest version installed.
I uninstalled the previous version before installing the latest.

What have I done wrong.

@Lorenzo> I'm afraid I couldn't reproduce your problem with my site. I'd need to see it in action, and even then, it's not an AM bug, it's a conflict on your site I'd guess. However, I could reproduce the problem with a *video* (FLV or anything, not an embedded video.) This will be fixed in 1.0.

Well... it's really strange.. I've noticed that it's displayed properly if I visit the topic following a direct url, here's the link:

It's duplicated (and it shows also the "Details" link) if I visit the topic with something after the number of the topic, like:

P.S.: Mmmh.. no... really don't know... most of time I see it duplicated (with the "details" link and without highslide), other times (don't know why!!) I see it properly with Highslide and without "details" link..)

I've downloaded the Aeva Media v1.0 Beta 5 feature but can't get the Media button to appear on the main forum.  It does work in the default theme but not my custom theme.

I've also checked the default index.php and it looks like it has everything it's suppose to.

When I add the above code, i do get a little dot appearing to the left of the 'members' button, but no actual link or name.

Any suggestions?

The difference is that in one case it has the AM headers, in the other case it doesn't.
Since headers are ALWAYS requested by the listThumbnail function, this means that your PHP install has a buggy implementation of the output buffer system. From what I gathered, ob_get_length() probably returns 0 even when it is NOT zero. (i.e. even when HTML stuff has already been sent to the page flow.)
The fact that it depends on a Refresh shows how unstable it is.
Isn't there anything in your SMF error log?

In any case, can't help without FTP access. And even with it-- not sure I really can.

I didn't change anything in aeva_addHeaders() for some time. This is where your error is happening. (The function is always called, and that's where the hs.css file is added to the headers, which is needed to hide one of the two captions.)
If you want, you can hardcode hs.css's highslide-caption stuff into your index.css/style.css stylesheet. (Although it wouldn't help with Highslide itself being disabled...)

Nao just wanted to say thanks for the MOD. Members are making albums very quickly and seem to love it.  The "Unseen" Media link really gets your attention but my favorite is the mass upload. Very nice and smooth 

I just hope this isn't all for nothing, this place is starting to scare me.
