the ad permission is already enabled but still I cannot view my ads, I don't know if it is english utf8 or plain english. Where I can found the language setting, I have only one installed language in my forum, the language directory display only setting.english.php

How about the other members of your forum, can they see the ads?
You not seeing the ads, can be due to several reasons. Like for ex, do you have Kaspersky Internet Security in your pc? If so, make sure to disable the banner option. Or check out the mod''s settings. Maybe you have disabled ads for administrators

My adds is now working when I choose/check the option "displays add in board index" but I want to display it at the bottom of my page not in the top. When I check option "Display ads on the bottom of the page" it doesn't display anything.

BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP, do that first. The database and the rest of the forum if you have cpanel or a similar control panel on your host that will allow that. Download the file you are editing with ftp and use a good editor like "PHP Designer 2007" it is what I use. uninstall the mod and then when you are going to re-upload the file (display.template.php) that you edited, rename the original (that is on the host still) so the one you edited does not overwrite it. This way in case your edits did not work you can still go back to the original. The most important thing to do is backup. :) Hope that helps a bit. :)

Thanks for your help, Bigguy....I have performed the actions...all good now. Codes were duplicated.

Use center tags:

<center>adcode</center>

or

<div align=center>ad code</div>

Which template file should I update for this and where do I insert the 'center' code? Thanks.

Bigguy

You put the tags around the ad code that you add to the ad management mod after you install it.

Bigguy

Are you using a custom theme. ???

I used dilber mc theme and only english language. I have tried the default theme but it doesn't appear either.

Bigguy

I have put together some edited theme files that already have the ad mod edits in them. You can go here and then to this directory and get the dilber files I edited. Read the red part at the bottom please. And backup the original files before using these. You want the "dilber.zip" file.

I read through as much as I could to see if I couldn't find the answer myself, but for some reason only myself and my other Admin's account can see the ads.

I'm using Google Adsense, with SMF version 1.1.3, with the Cityscape theme.

I've tried looking in the templates to see if permissions where set wrong or something, but I haven't found anything yet.

Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: Nevermind I found out what was wrong

can ad management be included to configure ads to be added

1)when you choose to reply to a post/topic?
2)display an ad after (any number) of topics per page in the message index?

or is this too complicated?
thanks for any info.

Bigguy

This cannot be done in this version of the ad mod. It might be implemented at a later date.

hi,
I'm trying to install ad management mod in my smf 1.1.2 forum but I'm not using the default skin.. can't use package manager.
I'm using parser do find out what modifications I have to do, but the first thing that the parser tell's me to do is to run install.php, and then I do that I get this: Fatal error: Call to undefined function db_query() in /home/madleiloex/domains/pmteam.org/public_html/umf/install.php on line 6

help plz!!
thank's in advance!

Bigguy

Why can you not use the package manager. Just because you are not on the default theme does not mean that you can't install it that way. All you do is use the package manager to install it and then manually do the edits to ONLY the template files of the theme you want to use. There should only be 4 or less to edit.  Hope that helps. :)

packager manager does not work on my host.. I had to install all the other mods using the parser... :( but now.. this error when I run install.php.. rrrr
don't know that to do.. :(

Bigguy

Why will it not work on your host. ???

Bigguy

If you go to www.smfads.com you might be able to search for the template files to see if thier there.
