Thanks for the help Shaitanfr, I was able to change [sample] to [more].

  Hopefully we can get a fix for the additional smileys that are in popup form. The popup smileys work when my members are making regular posts so I know it's something with this mod..........Have a good day,
TD

Did you ever find a fix for this? I've got the same problem.

Thanks!

Seems like they know about this. I translated the thread with Babel Fish, but it doesn't look like there's a solution.

I've given the answer to this a couple of times.  They are using Internet Explorer.  Just have them click on the little broken page to the right of the address bar.

Are we looking at fix to this solution to help forum users so, they can not have to fix these issues

This didn't work (I tried to put it in the Themes -> Default -> Index.template.php).

Too many issues and problems with no support either. I removed it from my site. My only regret is the time lost trying to get it to work right. Now there is no HacksPark site ??? Hope everyone did a good backup like me from the custom edits needed to get it installed and running ::) Had to manual uninstall, 4 files of test failed on the uninstall  :o

its strange, cuz there are lots of people who installed it with no problems, and got it working in matter of minutes, so its not the mod, there are some problems with some templates, like for example in the kelo-it, theres a problem with the color picker

you sure you made all the modifications needed???, check that by using a package parser

we dont support Simpleportal, MKportal or Tinyportal, the shoutbox can be added by using an "iframe" directly on the portal file, its not a great solution, but right now thats all that we can offer.

we hope to support portal on the next version of the forum

i dont understand whats happening, cuz the additional smileys works as the post smileys does, we must check that, cuz maybe its a problem with the themes

BTW, www.hackspark.com is down by now, thats cuz we couldnt transfer it to our new host at time, so wee need to set it up again

Hey, great shoutbox, I'd like to get it working in I.E the exact error I get is

An Error Has Occurred!
Unable to load the 'shoutbox_popup' template.

I'm using SMF 1.1.9 and Shoutbox 2.0 heard it may be a permissions setting, but I don't see anywhere in shoutbox Admin to set permissions, can anyone help. Am I even on the right track ???  :(

Uhura!

This is an awesome mod; however, it seems to compete with other forum activities. Members want to see how things go without it for now.

So my question is: I don't want to uninstall the Shout Box... I would like to temporarily disable it. Any instructions on how to do that...so if we want it back I can put it back in use easily?

I've used a Cbox for so long, but I'd rather use this (as it's integrated into the forums).  Here is what I have (exactly where I'd like to put this shoutbox in replacement of the cbox):

// Show the menu here, according to the menu sub template.
template_menu();
//Below the menu ads
if (function_exists("show_indexAds") && function_exists("show_towerleftAds") && function_exists("show_towerrightAds"))
{
$ads = show_indexAds();
if(!empty($ads))
if($ads['type']==0)
echo $ads['content'];
else
eval($ads['content']);
unset($ads);

//Tower left Ads
$ads = show_towerleftAds();
if(!empty($ads))
echo '<table><tr><td valign="top">', $ads['type']==0 ? $ads['content'] : eval($ads['content']) ,'</td><td width="100%" valign="top">';

unset($ads);
//Tower Right Ads
$ads = show_towerrightAds();
if(!empty($ads))
echo '<table><tr><td width="100%" valign="top">';
unset($ads);
}

echo '
<center>
<table>
<tr>
<td><iframe frameborder="0" width="500" height="175" src="http://www.cbox.ws/box/?boxid=xxxxxxx&amp;boxtag=7002&amp;sec=main" marginheight="2" marginwidth="2" scrolling="auto" allowtransparency="yes" name="cboxmain" style="border:#DBE2ED 1px solid;" id="cboxmain"></iframe></td>
<td><iframe frameborder="0" width="150" height="175" src="http://www.cbox.ws/box/?boxid=xxxxxxx&amp;boxtag=7002&amp;sec=form" marginheight="2" marginwidth="2" scrolling="no" allowtransparency="yes" name="cboxform" style="border:#DBE2ED 1px solid;border-top:0px" id="cboxform"></div></iframe></td>
</tr>
</table>
</center>';

// The main content should go here.
echo '
<div id="bodyarea" style="padding: 1ex 0px 2ex 0px;">';
// Hack's Park Shoutbox -->
if (function_exists('template_shoutbox')) template_shoutbox('main');
// <-- Hack's Park Shoutbox
}

function template_main_below()
{
global $context, $settings, $options, $scripturl, $txt;

echo '
</div>';

What I want to do is add a code such as

// Hack's Park Shoutbox -->
call_user_func(Shoutbox_Load(smf_main()));
// <-- Hack's Park Shoutbox

In the Default Theme -> Index.Template so it shows up on all pages regardless.  Any ideas how to make this happen?

you can just remove the permissions to everyone, so no one can see it, or use it, or you can remove the function in your index.template.php that shows the shoutbox

// Hack's Park Shoutbox -->
   if (function_exists('template_shoutbox')) template_shoutbox('main');

actually I dont understand what are you trying to do :P, first, unistall your cbox, then install the shoutbox "use a package parser", and after the installation, in the admin panel of the shoutbox, you can add the pages where you want the shoutbox to be printed
