Hello, this is the best mod shoutbox to smf, sorry that the media is not able to fix the error in IE, despite several updates still not working noo explorer.

Hi all,

Sound is not working 100% for me.

Sometimes, it works, and then it just stop.

For some users, it never worked. For others, it works all the time.

For the majority, it works sometimes.

Something I should do or check?

I only have 2 bugs reported for Shoutbox 2.0.3, and its ok, but if you have one more, report it pls

Also, I made an spanish blog (http://hackspark.blogspot.com/) and I will constantly modifing it and adding some interesting thing, little but usefulls and other related with the projects... from now I will be releasing the Otakumi mods, so ... you should be interested (for those who know them) ... and will add some templates, too
If any one would like to help me with it or managing the english site, tell me pls, I'm not an english speaker as you know and will need help

Many people want Mini avatars, or private chat, or task bar (like face book) or links videos, or links picturs, or etc (I don't remember) ... but making it is hard ... so many others say premiun version .... but paying ... I don't know, many people will also want to have it any way, so I prefer doing it by free and accept any donations, so... work me... xD those who said premiun version, send a little bit to colaborate ... any way, ads are there by some reasons ^^

Shoutbox works great for us but for some reason we cannot see the *Shoutbox Admin* under Admins.

Shoutbox Admin? There is not Shoutbox Admin.

If you mean Configuration Panel, it is in Admin -> Config -> Shoutbox (SMF 2.0.x)

If you mean Moderation Panel, it is not in the shoutbox directly, you have to clic in "Moderation" in order to get in.

How can I change the width of the box? I'd rather not have it stretching across the top of the forum. I just want a small, centered box above the forums.

It already follows your template styles, it should have the same width of your forum boxes, but if not, it is template problem, you should go to index.template.php an add a <div></div> with the proper style around the shoutbox main function call.

T__T where is the error? is it really from shoutbox? many people is continue asking me for that problem, but anything wrong isn't from shoutbox, problems starts in other mods or own modifications... so...

any way, I would like to see your forum to help you

I should add "Flash (test: ~10)"... but today, is any one without flash in its browser?...

Ok, I test sound in all those browsers, so, if your users are using any other, tell me and I will try to add it to the list... but if not, let me tell you ...

sound only works when a new message arrive, and that new message "shoud" come from any "other" user... so, if you are the one sending the message, sound won't play... and I think no body have problem with it....

I guess the word 'stretching' is misleading. The Shoutbox is the same width as the forum. There is no problem there. I want to make the Shoutbox smaller than the forum itself.

My shoutbox has been working fine for a month now, and nothing has been modded or touched since then.

But now no one can post or see any messages in shout. I get the loading images in top left of shout ( clock ), And that stays there and doesnt load the shoutbox messages or let anyone even admins post or see any messages in there.

im an admin, and i watched every members were doing unknown actions!
before install of this mod, the action indentifying was corrected!

... if a user doesn't want a sound, he simply need to disable it with a click, and it will "never" play again (cause of cookies).
and, yeap, could be a good solution ... (if you don't get any error) but, if a user wants sound?...
