@akyhne> It still exists. type=preview can link to a full version. But of course it doesn't give the picture details, like for type=box.

@littleone> gif issue? I don't remember that...

@madsenart> 2.0 final = RC3+ with a few minor fixes, nothing related to your issues. I guess you had a failed install or something...

@digger> Last time I enquired about ffmpeg problems, I got no feedback in return so I considered it was settled. (My ffmpeg fixing session dates back from august or september.) Disable ffmpeg if you're having trouble, I guess. v2.0 is as stable, if not stabler, than v1.5, and has many more features. If I had waited a few more days for a new release, I would certainly have started implementing a couple new features, which would have required a RC4, and then maybe RC5, etc... In short, it could have postponed v2.0 by a month or more. I had to draw a line at some point, SMG2 had been in beta for 10+ months, and in public beta for nearly 4 months...
I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered.

Can you add setting for Gallery to disable using ffmpeg if you can't fix this problem?

Greetings.

I installed SMG on my forum and all works fine. Except one thing: I can't see the images uploaded.
After upload a single image, it can't be seen.
Also in the "Size" info it says "0 KB", but if I press on "Download" it can be downloaded with no problems.

Here is a snapshot:

Some info:
SMF: 1.1.10
SMG: 1.5.6
My forum: http://mangaseishin.co.cc/smf/index.php (Spanish language)

P.D: By the way, sorry for my English level.

No one can help me?

Nao 尚

@digger> It's not that I can't fix it. It's just that I don't see any problem.

@loginsvarios> That version is no longer supported.

Yet another silent update -- this one has no code change, I only updated the package-info.xml file to make it possible to user simplemachine.org's manual parser. (It was due to my version target range closing at "2.0.99" instead of "2.99.99"... Odd.)

Guess so. Anyways. All works great now. So a big thank you for taking your private time to help simple mortals like me. Really appreciated =)

Great job! (I knew I should have waited a couple more days before upgrading this week! LOL)

Seriously though. Congrats! ;D

I supposed that SMG 2 only worked with SMF 2 ... my mistake!
Now I installed SMG v2 in my SMF 1.1.10 and it works flawlessly. :D

Thanks for your time (on both foums ;) ) and greetings!

Thanks everyone! Hopefully tomorrow I can take the day off and finally play Risen or one of the other adventure games I've been postponing for some time...

@loginsvarios> Nope, we took a great deal of effort to make SMG always compatible with both versions. (At least until SMF2 goes final.... In which case I may drop SMF1 compatibility little by little.)
Good to know it works for you, it was a wild guess for me eheh.

@ask> SMGTeam is me, or at least I'm the one who posts with it, in case you were wondering. It's an account that both Dragooon and I can access, I need it to update the first post in this topic. I also post changelogs with it, well, at least until it becomes a non-newbie account.

What is the problem? It works for me.

Dramber

Installed without a hitch and it fixed the errors with the user album placement I was having. :)
Thanks for all your hard work. This kicks butt!

I just tried to make the SMG tag not work in SMG 1.5.6, and I can't.

First, I started the post with the plain text editor active, manually entered the SMG tag, clicked the "A" to switch to the WYSIWYG editor, and the tag stayed in tact. Then I switched back to the WYSIWYG editor, and the tag was still in tact.
Oh really... Then why the heck did I waste time making that work? Uh... Headache incoming.

QuoteAt no time was the SMG tag decoded, regardless of which editor was active, and it always posted the image from the gallery without fail, all with the WQR mod installed and running.
Can you PM Antechinus and ask him to come over and discuss this with me? I don't want to bother him myself ;)
Or maybe Karl, since he developed the original mod... Maybe he would know. But I'm not sure he's much available these days.
I have NFI what is going on there. Haven't ever looked into SMG coding myself. Karl would be a better bet if you can get him.

SMG 2 final

@CiQ> Install with the package manager, or add the strings manually to your Modifications.*.php file (I suppose you're not using English or French translations.)

@Antechinus> Thanks for coming by ;)

It's pretty simple actually, SMG adds some code to Subs-Editor.php, $context['smg_disable'] = true; which disables the next (and only the next) SMG tag parsing.
This code is added to bbc_to_html() right before parse_bbc() is called to turn the BBCode into HTML. Right? The purpose is to prevent the Wysiwyg editor from turning [smg id=...] into its corresponding HTML code which can NOT be turned back into BBCode by html_to_bcc() (because the resulting code is very different depending on what media is inserted and what options are set).

So, it appears that your WYSIWYG Quick Reply mod calls bbc_to_html() at some point on messages (all or the first, I'm not sure how, I haven't looked into it), because the first [smg] tag in any page is left as is, instead of being turned to HTML, which means that smg_disabled was set when parse_bbc() was run on that message. Meaning in turn that it was called through bbc_to_html(). This is where I'm getting lost...

FYI, I've been told that if the following XML install code from SMG is removed, tags are correctly decoded, hence my explanation so far.

<file name="$sourcedir/Subs-Editor.php">
<operation>
<search position="after"><![CDATA[ // What tags do we allow?]]></search>
<add><![CDATA[ // MGallery changes
// Prevents embedding in WYSIWYG
global $context;
$context['smg_disable'] = 1;
// End MGallery changes

]]></add>
</operation>
</file>

@4b> changelog.txt (inside the package) has a complete log of all additions/fixes/changes, version by version... And every time I post a new version, I post the latest changelog here...

@Dramber> Another bug fixed magically by the latest version without any change on my side? OMG, I should frame it on my wall! I should save the code and never touch it again! lol -- I guess it's the magic of Christm final versions. All bugs decide it's time to go away!

Hi....

Just installed and converted from Coppermine Gallery.

I have a question.... when conversion is finished, can I delete ALL (included albums folders) in old Coppermine Gallery folder?

Edit: Another question....

FTP files are not deleted after assigned? Can I delete them manually?

Maybe Nao should remove the SMG 1.5.6 from the download page. I can see why people get confused with a 1.x and a 2.x version.
