General support topic for Aeva Media (Latest release: July 28, 2010)

I have serval sites using AEVA. Now I need to move several Albums from one site to other and those Albums have many items, descriptions, comments, ... which I would like to preserve.
Is there any feature to do this operation? If not, woulkd you consider implementing it?

You can hack this (internal redirect with no URL change) into your .htaccess file... Shouldn't take more than a couple of lines.

I know this isn't my thread.
I have 1.1.11 installed with stop spammer and babelfish mod.
When I install aeva the only thing changes is add image to post and nothing else.
I tried the manual install and found problems everywhere.

What could be wrong?
Also the image I upload shows just a picture in the post from 160*120px. Can I change this to a larger format?

That is because I disabled the glossary. I know its not Aeva's problem, but I was trying to find a work around.

I PM'd the guy who said he knows how to fix it. Its worth a try.

Well, he said he changed a setting in the Aeva admin, didn't he...?
Then trying enabling/disabling all functions. I'm guessing "Use Javascript-free system" would be a priority to test.

Ah heck I never really saw that option. I just installed it and its been running fine ever since. I know silly questions like that are well silly to you, but us users are really greatful for your mod and help.

Actually I'm a bit bothered, because I was looking into disabling the option and making sure Javascript is always used, if only because it's an important part of the embedder... Ah, anyway

I have some problems when i try to post myvideo.de videos at my smf 2.0RC3 forum using Aeva Media 1.1a.

When i try to post this video:

i get a "The message body was left empty" message. When i post Videos with a short title like this:

http://www.myvideo.de/watch/7381668/Kool_Savas_Futurama

the video embedding works without a problem.

Any hints how i can fix this? Thanks in advance for a reply.

Hello,

I was running SMF 1.1.11 with AM1.1a and Simpleportal without problems.
After upgrading to SMF 2.0RC3 I installed Aeva 1.1a but I have some problems:
- Aeva menu is showing verticaly, like here
- a lot of images are loosing their thumbnails, same link
- some images are displayed at original size, without resizing. link here

also, the highslide feature not working, clicking on thumbnail will stuck in "Loading..."

any help?

Make sure you have myvideo selected in the sitelist. It wasn't by default for me and didn't work until I enabled it, but does once you do.

Thanks for your reply. Myvideo is enabled and the video with the shorter title is embedded without a problem.
Only the video with the longer title doesn't work and i get this "The message body was left empty" message.

@fisch> I'm afraid I tested on my site and your video with a long URL posted just fine...
Make sure your AeMe was correctly installed. Especially make sure the Post.php file was modified.

@mrtrc> The latest image code has to be converted because it shows a large preview, which is not accounted for by AeMe's API, IIRC.
The random pics stuff, though, can be achieved in something like 3 lines of code with AeMe's API.
