That's not a watermark, that's a copyright (watermark in Aeva is an upcoming feature in its add-on Foxy! to put your forum's name into images, I believe)

There is no information on removing that because it's against the licence I think you'll find.

I don't think you actually can without a more significant rewrite.

You could try asking Nao on the Aeva site given that he doesn't provide support here now.

For SMF 1.1.11 you have to manually add it to every theme that isn't the default theme.

I have a copy of 'Auto Embed Video Clips  2.1.5' this works flawlessly for me on 1.1.x and allows me to set my own fixed size for all videos... I'm about ready to try installing it on rc3 in emulation mode.

Why?

If you're going to lock all the threads where no support is given by the author, you can lock virtually every published mod thread. Many mods aren't supported by their authors and this suggestion rules out the possibility of others supporting them in their absence, e.g. AJAX Chat Integration was recently granted a new person as additional author because they were supporting it after the original author long since stopped.

Hell, better stop developing SimpleDesk then, because we're not going to support it here. Besides, why the hell should it be removed if it can be supported better than it can here?

So that people can still use it without us having to advertise it everywhere. Most people don't even know that there are mods and sites elsewhere...

If that was actually a requirement, SMF would have to remove virtually every mod on the mod site or at least mark them unsupported. There are so many mods that have no official support now it isn't funny.

OK ... 'Auto Embed Video Clips  2.1.5' installed perfectly on Rc3 .. didn't even have to emulate .. I'm happy camper now, just need to set my sizes and im good to go

This needs to be available for download, the current version just has too much bulk for people that just need a spot on embeddr

Or sites change how they embed videos, which happens more often than you'd think.

Arantor, I think you'll have to let aw06 find out the limitations of his views regarding Auto Embed Video Clips  2.1.5. When those video sites change their codes, like often the case, he'll be screaming for support!

Btw, the statement below is found in the current AEVA. I believe it's self explanatory and probably fits the needs of aw06.

Here is the issue, if  i post 5 vids, 3 end up 16:9 wide screen 2 end if 4:3 format ... now this does not in no way affect performance, it's just an aesthetic craving i have when all display at the same 16:9 format

Have you tried with just [smg id=1,2,3]? It should work. Because adding type=album makes Aeva Media show all items from albums 1, 2 and 3...

I'm trying this [smg id=3721,3722,3723] and just first picture is displayed.
what should I check? could be issues with 4 digits ID?


I'm also looking for some little features, maybe for the next releases:
- to have the possibility to add just the first and the last ID, something like [smg id=3721-3725] and maybe in combination with commas  [smg id=3721-3725,3728,3739,3710-3717].  And a WRAP switch should be very useful for long strings.
- for "type=album" should be an "order=title" or "order=ID" and so on... and an option for setting the number of displayed items, like "[smg id=77 type=album display=5 order=random" - for displaying 5 random files from album 77.

Hello Nao (or anyone else),

I try to figure out as much as I can by myself since I think generous devlopers like you are doing too much already for free.

However I got to a dead end and I need a little push here:

I am working on a smf with 2 languages: Portuguese_PT and English. after installing Aeva, I edited Modifications.portuguese_pt-utf8.php and am presently creating a Aeva.portuguese_pt-utf8.php (I changed char. Set to utf-8 in smf). Nevertheless, when I look at the portuguese version of Aeva, all the special characters are not showing up, as they should using utf-8.

Does Aeva have a char set independent setting from smf? Do I need to activate utf-8 for Aeva somewhere in the Admin Area?
I started creating my Aeva.portuguese_pt-utf8.php by making a copy of Aeva.english.php and translating the texts in = 'text';

Can it be that I did something wrong? What am I missing? In every special character and accents, I get a square symbol...

You guys really live for Aeva, lol , i never said this was better, said it was more convenient for people who just need a simple embedding solution that works.. Be realistic, one has to install a full complete bells and whistle media gallery [which i plan to use soon ] that like buying a Porsche just to get the radio in it then only to find out it's too intelligent and can't do some simple task your old radio did flawlessly
