Nao is the maintainer of this mod, but as per page 100 of this mod, he got so fed up of the people complaining and disrespecting him that he's not providing support here any more, if you want support the only place is on his site, aeva.noisen.com.

I never complain or disrespect any creator/maintainer of maods as without them we wouldn't be able to improve SMF.........

Unfortunately you seem to be in the minority; too many people want things made just for them without realising the work involved, or flat out telling the mod authors that they won't use their work because it isn't *exactly* what they wanted.

I've known multiple mod authors who don't write mods any more because of this. I don't do any new free mods for this reason.

#1:  I understand that the mod creator doesn't respond to these posts anymore, but I don't think the issue is with the mod itself.  Perhaps I shouldn't be posting this here, and if that's the case, I apologize.

#2:  My experience is with HTML & CSS, I don't have PHP skills, so please be gentle if I missed something stupid.

#3:  Space reserved in case I need a 3rd disclaimer. 

#4:  I am using modified versions of the default theme.  I've only edited the CSS; I have not installed new themes.

#5:  I cannot copy/paste code for you at this time.  I'm at work and they block access to my sites.  However, if you need to see specific code, I'll be happy to provide it for you later.

Here is my issue.

I use SMF on two of the sites I maintain:

~ Site 1:

After installing AEVA on hxxp:jjkocholek.com [nonactive], I decided that I wanted it for legionofmyth.com.  At the time Legion of Myth was only using SMF Gallery Lite.  So, per the instructions, I removed SMF Gallery then installed the AEVA media package.

SMF seemed to have removed properly, including the removal of the "Gallery" tab at the top of the page, and AEVA is working perfectly ... except for one issue: it has not placed the 'Media' tab where the Gallery tab used to be.

If you look at hxxp:jjkocholek.com [nonactive], it's there in all of its glory.  However, the hxxp:legionofmyth.com [nonactive] page doesn't show it.  (I currently have an Audio & Video link placed in a box on the left hand side of the page to go to the gallery, so you can see the mod woks just fine, but I want/need the tab).

One of the things I noted is that I did have to go into the various files that SMF Gallery Lite edited to delete or remark out its edits.  So, maybe it didn't uninstall as thoroughly as it stated, but I doubt that would prefent the 'Media' tab from AEVA to appear.

At the mod d/l site, I did look at the code parsing for SMF 1.1.11.  I verified that the coding for the AEVA was properly inserted into the various files.  I suppose I could have missed a quote or semicolon or something, but my point is that I did check to see that the mod installed correctly.

I'm not sure what else to tell you, so I hope this is thorough enough.  I thank you in advance for any support (or redirection to a proper forum) you can lend.

i am not being able to install aeva media. whenever i try to install it ways 500-internal server error.

note: i am able to install other packages like, registered links. previously i had successfully installed aeva media. then i upgraded to rc 3 and unistalled it. now i want to install it again. please help.

I think the Gallery mod by vbgamer does it too or you can just use the img bbcode.

(Which, for reasons I can't comprehend, is *still* in the top 10 of most downloaded mods, even though it has the big 'unsupported' flag and clearly mentions to use Old Aeva or AeMe instead... lol.)

im experiencing an issue with Aeva 1.1b + SMF RC3 + GOOGLE CHROME.  Once you play an embedded video (youtube, facebook, etc), you cannot control the volume or any flash controls in the video... im not experiencing this in FF or other browsers.  Anyone else having this issue??
