I notice that with version 1.2 the thumbnails are left aligned instead of centered, how can I fix this? thanks.  I know it says to post questions at noisen, but it is so confusing to find out where to the board for that is.

and yet again I post something and then few mins later stumble onto why I had the problem.  Was a language file problem on my end, not aeva

They only appear when I try to view the "Changelog"...clicking on "Index" or "Read Me" tabs does not generate these errors.  Looking closer at it, there appears to be no data under the Thanks to... and Gallery moderators and managers sections.  I'm not sure what should be there, if anything, so I don't know if anything is missing or not.

kind of a dumb question, im using 1.1 and i want to update to current avea ver. 

Do i need to uninstall the old ver. first?

upon further reading, i found my answer:


    * Uninstall older versions (if already installed).
    * Install the new version.
    * Go to the admin area, play with the settings. On first install, set permissions up!
    * And you are done! There will be no data loss.

a quick ?? I think I know answer too.
I know existing media should be left untouched, but do the links to them within the forums stay the same? or is a reindex or something needed?

if I am right it should all stay the same.

hmm, no highslide on thumbnails, wonder if I need to regenerate as the thumbnails are not treated as link.

I'd like to remove the highslide because I keep having problems and I'd rather people be taken to the rating screen anyway.  But, does anyone know how to update the view count each time? I saw where Nao said he didn't use it for both because he didn't want it to use two counts, so I just want to move the counter to the embed part.

well existing images were unlinked and highslide stopped working on the thumbnails in album. works on single items.
rolling back and will try again tomorrow.

I'm probably going to regret this, but I'm getting ready to upgrade to SMF 2.0 RC3. I need to uninstall Aeva Media first. However, I'm not sure how to do this. Dumb question, I know.. but can I get a pointer on where or how to do this?

why do you need to uninstall?

by upgrading (i.e. copying the RC3 files to your server) you will be removing all mods anyway

I grabbed the small upgrade. Will that also remove the mod?

what are you upgrading from?  I almost always use the sources, root and themes directories from the large upgrade package when I do an upgrade in order to make sure I get a clean start.

I'm just moving from RC2 to RC3. I was hoping to go the small package route and save some work. But, I hear what your saying. I'll probably save myself some headaches if I go the large upgrade and pretty much start from scratch.
