I apologise for using someone elses topic, it seems I am unable to start my own topic in this forum.

I`m looking to upgrade my SMF to the latest 2.0 version. I am unsure what to do with Aeva, do I simply remove all files relating to Aeva when I upgrade SMF then re-install it? If that`s the case what happens to the photos and albums currently in my present Aeva install?

I have looked at the FAQs here, it doesn`t explain anything about upgrading both SMF and Aeva.

as with all other mods: upgrade smf, then re-install all mods.

Tiribulus, it *IS* modifications.english.php (if you are using english, and not english utf-8). In SMF 2.0, you will also have to clear the server cache from the smf admin tools. (and possibly clear your PC's browser cache as well)

Nao- Just for an update on the situation I was having with aeva. I was continuing to have the same issues and was able to replicate it again while I was working on getting my board set up. I was using the app installer in godaddy to install 1.1.11 for me and upgrading to rc3. Well once I was done with my forum and had settled on going with the smf gallery pro I was migrating to a dedicated server and decided to just install the full smf 2.0 rc3 without upgrading on my own and just restoring all the settings after I added all the mods I settled on. So I tried installing aeva media again and it works perfectly. I'm not sure if the mix up was in the upgrade process? Your probably at least aware of that but I thought you might be interested to know that it does work now that I'm running the full version of smf rc3.

Any ideas why i get this error in my logs ? i have just installed this mod and its one of the best but  its flooding my logs.

(i dont have pretty urls  installed)

Yes it's been moved, and no we're not working together... He's just messing around with his server, and I can't commit anymore (because he provided me with false credentials.) I guess I'll have to wait until he's done playing, so I can resume work on it... Or I'll just have to move to Google Code or something. -_-

No not Google Code, it's awful. JBlaze did with some of his projects, you can guess what happened. Maybe sourceforge.net ?

It is about this mod throwing this error:
This album's directory couldn't be properly created, please make sure mgal_data/ and mgal_data/albums/ are chmodded to 0777 or 0755.

Even after you have chmodded everything as requested. Seems to be specific to SMF 2.0 RC2 as the user in this thread made it work fine in an older version. You mentioned here you had a relatively quick fix but no details were ever given.

I have SMF 2.0 RC2 and am getting this error even after running chmod as it asks. I also have the latest (1.2) version of the AEVA mod. I do not know what else to try.

Note: I only see this error when attempting to create a new album. Both users and admins see the same error so we are unable to create a media album.



Perhaps it is paid support only?

Any assistance would be deeply appreciated. Thank you very much.

1.2 works great. Searched this topic and Noisen. Didn't see anyone report this. Appears maintain.gif is missing. Is that supposed to be in the SMF theme or is AEVA supposed to be packaged with the file? I noticed it wasn't in the 1.2 package I downloaded yesterday.

It's in SMF2 and/or AeMe's current revision (on the svn).
