@dkharp: in simple portal 2.3.2. you don't need any code - simple go in admin-> simple portal -> addBlock and choose Gallery (is at down of the page). And so you can chhose many possibilities.

I need help finding out where I can change this setting in the Media Gallery.
I am using SMF Media Gallery 2.0.5 and AEVA 5.2.56

I have not been able to find anything related to the repeat code in any file.
Installing Aeva Media is not an option unfortunately.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

smf media gallery is not really supported anymore, and your version of aeva is WAY outdated. Why is upgrading to AEVA gallery not an option?

Aeva Admin > Album > Edit > tick the box (top left of the pic) then choose delete.

There are plenty of ways to delete pics...

I can't upgrade because I am running SMF 1.1.8 with several modification and custom tweaking. I deleted everything like the installation instructions said but the install failed. The current layout of SMG is what the site owner wants and Aeva Media looks different. I have no problems with SMG other than this audio loop issue

if you are running 1.1.8, you  ***NEED***  to upgrade to 1.1.11 ASAP anyway.  1.1.8 has a number of known security holes which have been patched.

On the subject of your old version of smg... it's just not supported any more.

sorry again, i would like to have the same ratio for thumbnails.
all thumb's now are or 120 px width and 'x' px height.
how can i show the resized thumb at fixed 120px per 120 px and eventually cut the thumb's image.

Attention everyone.

As of now, July 18th, 2010, and as a result of a personal decision, I'm officially ending all support for Aeva Media, including over at noisen.com. I won't be releasing new versions or upgrades either. As permitted by the Aeva Media license agreement, I won't let anyone take over, won't let anyone distribute it (or modified versions of it), and won't let any of the code/algorithms I wrote be used in other mods. Download AeMe from the custom.simplemachines.org site while I'm still allowing it, but this may not last either. I haven't decided yet whether I'll sell the package to someone else or not. I don't think I will, though.

I'm really sorry for everyone who is, or will be having issues with it, but you'll have to learn how to help yourselves (or get help from someone else), or use some other crappy mods to do what you want.
And for everyone else, the mod is STILL working great, so have fun using it. I loved writing it, and loved how it was so wildly popular and widely used. But all good things have to come to an end, and I don't have any more reasons to keep working on Aeva Media. This decision wasn't easy to take, but I'm asking you to respect it. There were a lot of things at stake behind the scenes in the SMF team and this is what came out of it.

PS: I just want peace now. Don't waste your time (and mine) trying to make me change my mind. I took my decision several weeks ago, I just needed some time to get myself to announce it.

The only trouble I am having is there being more than one folder in the sub album section ie the album cover.

I understand that you get upset with silly support questions, any person which has reached a high level of knowledge finds naive and ignorant questions at least boring. There are so many people using Aeva Media, some of them can be answering the silly questions, and you can spend your time only in development and/or serious bugs.

But OK, let's say that we leave you in peace (we're not holding you as a hostage, but anyway). Can I ask why you don't want anyone to take over your project, even by buying it? Can I ask why you are planning to withdraw the mod from the simplemachines site?

If Aeva Media has no future, then everyone should think seriously before installing it, because at the next upgrade of SMF there's a possibility that something will stop working and no-one will be there to fix it (and if someone fixes it by himself, he is prohibited from giving the fix to the public). Maybe we should start spending our time installing and developing "some other crappy mods".

And we don't care about what happens behind the scenes in the SMF team, we just want our forums up and running! If someone wants out, someone else will probably want in!

I was upset for a long time. Then it just became boring and a bit annoying. But it's the same everywhere. People don't care to look for themselves. They demand an answer right now and a search engine isn't gonna help them (or so they think). At some point, you just stop caring about that kind of people. Just let them die of thirst in their mental desert.
It's not about that. It's not that much about Aeva Media. I have my issues with it, which are important in my decision to stop providing any support (which, at that point, didn't change much of the stuff -- it's been a long time since I've answered everyone's questions -- I stopped caring months ago). But my decision to stop *developing* Aeva Media are related to SMF itself. I will keep working on it actually -- I just will customize it for my site only. I won't release my new features. Had I made the mod only for my site, I wouldn't have spent many extra months making sure it works on all servers. Now I just want to be done with it. I'm not happy with my relationship with SMF, so you can consider it a divorce. I don't see any reasons to work for the SMF community at all. It hasn't been helpful to me. It's been a waste of my time mostly.

I'm not saying I'm not considering selling it. I just think my minimum price would be too high for anyone.
As for not giving it away -- I have my reasons. We'll see about that in a few months.

I will never bother anyone about posting fixes. Just don't attach files and don't post entire files as code tags. Any realistic and proper use of the code tag and diff patches to fix bugs is okay in my book. I'm spelling out the rules but I'm not trying to annoy everyone you know.

I'll never prevent you from using Aeva Media on your website. Just don't redistribute the package or anything related, anywhere. It's always been the case so far, so it should be easy.
