I have over 2GB of images on the server. There's also an album/sub-album structure in place.

Will a reinstall (Arantor) or file replacement (Kindred) automatically 'see' this content.

ok i have been having some problems with avea media, and i want to reinstall it.
i have uninstalled the mod, but it dosent seem to be enough. so i wanna use a FTP to delete all the files attached to avea media.
Are all the files connected to avea media in Mgal_data folder ? can i just delete that folder and the whole thing is gone, and i can reinstall ?

no, there are files in the sources directory, the themes/default directory and several others

i have uninstalled the mod but it keeps returning to the same state when i install the mod again

well, uninstalling it does not remove the database entries either...

What is the "same state"?   What is wrong?

Instead of installing, uninstalling and installing again, solve the actual problem (because doing the same action over and over, while expecting different results is actually one definition of insanity --  and computers do not learn through repetition. )

when i try to upload a image i get a error message "Cannot find proper destination on the server".

and i think my paths are correct, my Data directory path is: /customers/b/1/c/420fo.com/httpd.www/mgal_data/
and my Data directory URL is: http://www.420fo.com/mgal_data

what do you think the problem is ?

thats the Data directory path i got from a worker at one.com. is there no other way to figure out the Data directory path ?

Go to Admin > Server Settings > Database and Paths and get the master SMF directory, then post that here.

In theory, by rewriting it into the template. Doing it is a bit more tricky than that, though, not that you'll get very good ads in the gallery anyway.

How does outside PHP work? cause i have full length movies and music videos. How much is aeva if i want to buy it?

Well it would involve a serious amount of work, none that's ever going to be put into Aeva, but basically the file gets uploaded to the server directly - which means anyone with the link can access it (and that's not something you can bypass)

Either you make it available to all or you put it behind PHP to protect it.

Aeva is $5 for 1-day download access, $10 if you want a year's access to the forum where you may or may not get support (you definitely won't be getting updates). Basically, support there is based on whether I know the answer off the top of my head and can be bothered to help since no new effort is going into Aeva at this time, at least not Aeva Media on SMF.

Did I say it would help you? Aeva was always about doing what Nao wanted to do with it; it's his free time and energy after all, he doesn't write it for you, he writes it for himself and was good enough to share.

thats why i would have paid him and purchased aeva. but by the sounds i will leave it.
