How do I get the video links back on the forum?

After doing upgrade from RC5 to final 2.0 and installing last update of this mod the button Media doesn't show up in the menu of my forum. Avea Media was installed with an error in subs.php but seems to be installed fine except for the button not showing up.

I think it is conflicting with the mod Hide Tag Special 3.0 because first this mod was not working and Aeva Media was 100% installed correctly and the button was visible in the menu. Since I manually got the Hide Tag Special working by adaptions in subs.php I lost the button from Aeva Media but I am quite sure it's because of the adaptions in subs.php

Please is somebody able to look at my subs.php to correct this so the button for Aeva Media in the menu of my forum is visible again?

If possible...

Uninstall Aeva then uninstall Hide Tag. Install Aeva then install Hide Tag.

Sometimes, mods have to be installed in a particular order due to one (or more) of them changing the target code of the other. Aeva is 'clean coded'  ie. it does not change any target code.

I have a small problem with aeva media, after our site crashed and we reinstalled Aeva media, everytime we post a link on our site aeva media double post the video :S

i will show in attachement:

picture 1: copied link from youtube, aeva media double posts
picture 2: removed from end of link
picture 3: only one video showing after edit of url link

is there a way to fix this? :S

you have double installed the mod...     which means that you probably have additional duplicated code as well.

You will have to go in manually to remove the duplicated code.
Do the package parser and find the edits that the mod makes in each file, confirm that those edits are only done once.

Nothing change on my forum.
I install SMF 2 (re-install of complete version not update) and Aeva Media 1.4w
All works fine at the beggining, I change nothing on my forum but since yesterday the yahoo video don't appear anymore, just the linke and the space of the video is blank....

What happens ?... I have a look in the admin panel of Aeva but as nothing had change I don't know what to do ...

Helo, i installed AVEA 1.4w, in FireFox or Opera didn't work video player on my upload files like avi mpeg mkv wmv, only FLV extension work, it is normal?
how play AEVA other video files ?

Oh sorry I didn't understand you! no, the player can't play it because it has not installed the codecs, only for FLV (flash video)

Hello,

i have a Problem with the views.
Picture Views are shown and counted but for example on Youtube Videos there are always 0 views even it it was seen/clicked.

I have since discovered the embedded videos work on the test forum with no problems.

On the main one they show as text links.

Hi! I've problem when the views increase. All videos that I host at my aeva gallery are from youtube, but when my users see it, the views doesn't increase, allways are with zero views. Could you help me?

I downloaded the mod and had issues as the mgal_data file didn't upload properly and all the files were corrupt leaving me with the message;

This album's directory couldn't be properly created, please make sure mgal_data/ and mgal_data/albums/ are chmodded to 0777 or 0755.

All i needed to do was replace the mgal_data file and add the permissions myself.
