Am I allowed or even able to edit the UserBox ezPortal block? I want to CENTRE the contents, and possibly add one or two more links below Unread Posts and Unread Replies.

Yes you can it is found in Sources/Subs-EzportalMain.php I think

I need some help, please. I have 4 menu blocks on the home page that link to areas for guests. I believe I have everything checked correctly, but when I'm logged out and click on those links it just brings me to the login or register page again. What did I miss in enabling guests to actually see the boards when clicking on the home page links? Thanks!

Are they links to boards on your forum? Are the boards public?

Yes, they're links to pages inside the forum and those pages are checked for guests to see in the boards, if that's what you mean.

I have guests checked in the boards themselves, in membergroups and on the portal. Where else should I look? And thanks for all your help!

my forum no longer does install of modes or upgrades. all i get is a clear page and if i refresh
i get error session timed out.

to do the update my self do i simply replace the following

Move the included file "EzPortal2.php" to "./Sources".
Move the included file "Subs-EzPortal-Convert2.php" to "./Sources".
Move the included file "Subs-EzPortalMain2.php" to "./Sources".
Move the included file "EzPortal2.template.php" to "./Themes/default".
Move the included file "EzPortal.english.php" to "./Themes/default/languages".
Move the included file "EzPortal.english-utf8.php" to "./Themes/default/languages".
Move the included file "Subs-EzPortalRSS2.php" to "./Sources".
Move the included directory "ezportal" to "the root directory".

or do i need to edit php files as well as if i was installing the mod

That's about it and run the ezportalinstall.php file to update any blocks etc

where do I put EzPortalInstall.php just in my main forum folder! and run it from there?

Yup just in the main folder if you use 2.0 grab the 2install.php file.

After running http://www.forum.com/smf/EzPortalInstall2.php I still got a blank page
BUT all looks good and forum with ez**** is all working again
when checking ez*** settings it says Your Version: 0.5.1 Latest Version: 0.5.1
when checking Packages is says
EzPortal 0.5.1 [Upgrade]
EzPortal 0.4.9 [Uninstall]

BUT as I did the upgrade my self I removed both from my Packages lists "i think that was the correct thing to do"
and everything so far looks happy and working

Yeah that looks good everything should be working fine after you did the db table update.

every time a member posts; the user name changes and some of my members are blonde

they ask about the post I started and I have to explain I replied but the post was started by bla..bla..bla..
you know what I mean.
