General support topic for Aeva Media (Latest release: July 28, 2010)

I've unistalled and reinstalled, but still the same. Another problem I have is when a new item is added to the gallery, a number shows next to the gallery tab, clicking on that number used to take you to the new items, but not any more. It seems that uninstalling Aeva leaves a lot behind, which maybe interferes with the re-installment. If I wanted to start with a clean slate, how can I be sure all necessary Aeva files have been removed?

Sorry for this nooby question but i have installed this avea and created a album i go to the album try to upload a random image for test sake and all i get is a white page once i submit and when i re-fresh i check the album and no image is uploaded

First of all, great mod!

Second of all: I'm having the same question as Yngwiedis has.
As he showed, the highslide shows a scroll bar and it isn't big enough. I've been searching in the css and templates to change but I failed to find..
Any help where to find is really appreciated!

Welcome to the gallery section, powered by Aeva Media. To delete or modify this welcome message, just edit file /Themes/default/languages/Modifications.english.php and add this line to it:

$txt['aeva_welcome'] = 'Welcome.';

You can also change the text directly from within the admin area. This is simpler but you lose the ability to translate it to multiple languages.

I'm particularly interested in changing it from within the admin area.. but I'm not sure I follow where that admin area is..


Also, how do I grab the link of the images so I can use the image inside the thread?

Right now, members can embed a video, for example from you-tube, in a post only by first embedding it in a gallery item. Is there a way to allow them to to embed a video in a forum post without having to create a gallery item?

I have this error messge on our smf 2.0 site

I have tried to remove it from the error log but it wont clear I dont know much about the error log so if anyone can help id be greatful

I've just upgraded to 1.4 avea. And now I'm getting double videos on the individual item screen. see here to view http://www.christmasdisplays.co.nz/media/?sa=item;in=134

Any ideas as to why?

because you did not uninstall the old version before installing the new version...   yuo now have a double install and will have to manually remove the duplicated code.

well, I got the double too, and it's only on some video, not all. and I did uninstall the previous version (which bugged my forum) before installing the new one, which work fine except on rare occasion!

Hi all. I'm having a strange problem with this mod (Aeva Media 1.4w). No installation problems/errors/etc, and no previous versions. However, when a video link, like YouTube for example, the preview of the embedding works, but the actual post in the topic view only shows the link and a large area where the embedded video should be. The embedded video also shows up properly in the "Topic Summary" section underneath a topic reply. I've searched the settings and options for Aeva and have found nothing. We even have a testing site setup will all the same options and mods as the main site (or so I thought), but Aeva works flawlessly there... see attached images for visualization of the problem...

I have tried to add an code to embedd videos from a website that is not on the original list. I don't know where else to go for help on adding a specific website to the code. The instruction in the OP don't help me. Would anyone have a easier way to explain how to go about this process for me?

For some reason the media posted on a certain website I'm managing for a friend is acting weird.
It is not suiting in the current design but leaves the border.

Example: http://tcocampaign.com/index.php?action=media;sa=album;in=2

Is this a bug, does anyone else has or had experience with it?

Fixed it by setting the max thumbnail size to something else.

Also for those who are having troubles with the scrollbars showing up, it can be fixed in the file "highslide-2.js" located in your default theme, in the aeva folder.
Search in this script for:

Code Select Expand

hs.setStyles(a,{width:(this.x.size-c-e)+'px',height:(this.y.size-d)+'px',overflow:'auto',
And you can replace it with:

Code Select Expand

hs.setStyles(a,{width:(this.x.size-c-e)+'px',height:(this.y.size-d)+'px',overflow:'hidden',

All I did is hiding the scrollbars by changing auto to hidden. It was just hard to find through the whole coding.
