You need to copy and  paste the code provided by ImageShack.us after you've uploaded an image.
Test it here --> http://simpletweaks.co.nr/forum/index.php?topic=43

Here is my question can uo just have the imageshack button show up and have attachments disabled?

I noticed that when I use this it still allows my members to upload attachment and I don't want this.

I just want them to do this via imageshack

Thanks

You can disable (new) attachments @ the SMF "Administration Center".
(admin --> Attachments and Avatars)
The option to turn on/off the Simple ImageShack mod can be found at admin --> Features and Options --> Layout and Options

Want I had in mind was that when you click at "Additional Options" in the Post form, you will have to see an Upload area.

Just uppon the other Additional Options.

I installed it and this mod works not the way I want it..
It looks like below:

What I want is that it is added as an Additional Option.. Besides the background color of the Imageshack.us field must be similar to the background color of the Post Form.

Could someone tell me which file I have to edit and where I have to put the code..

Mag trouwens ook in het Nederlands verteld worden.

This Html works great.. how can we put it in the post.template.index:

<iframe src="http://imageshack.us/iframe.php?txtcolor=111111&type=blank&size=20" scrolling="no" allowtransparency="true" frameborder="0" width="280" height="100">Update your browser for ImageShack.us!</iframe><span class="gen"> </span>
      <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="1" border="0">

Maybe in a future version. I tried it with v2.0.1 but it had a little bug.
The problem is that the iframe doesn't show when opening the additional options for the first time.
After closing and reopening the additional options it suddenly...

Sorry, my mistake.
In firefox the iframe is transparent, but in IE it isn't.
And i didn't test the mod with IE (as i should have).  :-[
Will fix it asap.

I will release v2.0.2 soon which will have the 'iframe background color bug' fixed.
I'll compile the package tonight when i have a little more time to test it.

p.s. V3.x.x will have some major improvements, but it will take time (weeks....probably months) as i'm also working on a 'Simple' portal mod.

Garry1953

Sounds great.
I'm looking forward to your update.
Thanks

At the moment Bloc's Tiny Portal and YAP are much further in development (still have to code an admin section for my mod).
A lot of people use TP and are very pleased with it.... it's a great portal mod for SMF, and it already has a large community.

oops....
I changed the dir-structure of the mod-package and forgot to edit some lines.
Fixed it.....
The new package, SISv202rev2.zip, should install without errors.

Is it possible to make this work with other free image hosts as well for variety?

Well, at least i just got permission from fapomatic.com to use similar script on my forums. Its more suited host for the one part of our forum, i even made fapomatic banner to the iframe  ;)

I would expect at least some of the other free image hosts also permitting such script..

Were you able to get this to work with fapomatic?  I'd really be interested in that.

Thanks it works great now ;)

Gwion

Running it with 1.1 RC2 and it works fine.
Just one question - can I (and if so where) change the height of the ImageShacks field? In my theme/resolution the "host it" button is hardly visible or completely gone.

It can be changed inside the SMF admin.
