Uh? Then your SMF install shouldn't work at all... ;)

(Ever heard about FTP, BTW? File Manager sucks when it comes to editing files, really... I tried this morning. It nearly killed me.)

thanks for the comments, as you've probably guessed i'm not the sharpest tool in the shed as it comes to php.

i hope the code is better now.

and btw - personally i didn't require_once because i required it already through simple portal on my calendar page

Nao 尚

If you remove the loadLanguage call, you need to add two parameters to aeva_loadSettings: null and true.

global $sourcedir; (if it ain't already globalled)
require_once($sourcedir . '/Aeva-Subs.php');
aeva_loadSettings(null, true);

I would also turn <BR> into <br /> (xhtml compatible), and I would actually strongly recommend to get rid of the whole loop and replace it with a single call to:

function aeva_listItems(&$items, $in_album = false, $align = '', $per_line = 0, $can_moderate = false)

The $items array is what is returned by aeva_getMediaItems(), so you can nest both calls into one.

Hmm, I see what you mean.

Would deleting the whole mod via the cpanel be a wise idea?

sounds great, but does the aeva_listItems gets a custom where?

i guess i can add this parameter, but i'm sure that will be to embarrassing to post  :P

Nao 尚

A custom? You put the custom into your aeva_getMediaItems() call... And you surround it with your aeva_listItems() call. It's still in one line ;)

Via cpanel...? You mean the admin area?
That's what you tried to do in the first place isn't it....?

Er no, I tried to do it via the Package Manager but I've found it's also poss to delete a mod in the cpanel.

cpanel > File Manager > Webroot > public_html > forums > click onto Packages > highlight a package and the option to delete shows up in the menu as a large red X

Oh, that's a file manager in cPanel? Okay, didn't get it, thought you were using the File Manager mod for SMF...

No, don't use that. All it'll do is simply remove the 'Uninstall' link from your board. The mod will still be there -- only you won't be able to uninstall it until you reupload it.

Phew, thanks for the warning.

Well 1.0 beta 1.1 works OK so might as well leave it there for the time being. Is there any software to repair what it would leave behind if/when I uninstall it?

{EDIT} You're going to be sooo cross, Nao. I'd forgotten about Super Admin - once I'd uninstalled that Aeva 1.0beta 1.1 uninstalled perfectly!

It's surprising you have stability issues with just 5800 images. Aeva Media is being used with no problems on relatively small servers with hundreds of thousands of items... And I don't think SMF Gallery Pro would lack optimizing in that area...
Big forum, maybe?

Great news on the Beta 3!

Yep it should not be happening but I think my host knows something I don't. Anyway, tell me if this makes sense Mr. Nao.

I try the conversion tool for SMF Gallery Pro on my current server with SMF 1.1.11 to see if it works. If it does then I have two standing galleries on my current server. Lets say I decide on using this one.  I install a fresh SMF 2.0 RC2 and Aeva Media 1.0 Beta 3 on my new server. Then I import all the tables for this MOD, the images, and before I go any further is this a dream and never going to work..... Thanks!

Try to copy the file manually by FTP. Maybe it's a permission error on your file system.

No, it's going to work... If it won't, just lemme fix your new server after the old database/filesystem import is finished.

@saks> Sorting albums is in my to-do-list. I rewrote the function a few weeks ago to make it possible, actually. (It wasn't, before Aeva Media days.)

Re message body empty: have you tried adding some fake text before or after the link? It will probably work.
This is due to an old bug in SMF where <object> tags are considered as 'rubbish' by the parser when it attempts to see if the submitted post is empty. This is very odd that you're having the bug, since I fixed it long ago (thanks to a tip by Karl Benson.)

It's a mod, which can be set hidden, so Admin ID#1 cannot be deleted or over-ridden by another admin and cannot accidentally delete himself.

I'm trying to add Rockstar Games' Social Club TV as a custom site, however I'm having a bit of a problem. Every time I post a link, aeva will not embed it. I must have something wrong then, right? Well it seems if I post a quote of my post the video will show and work, despite me having embed in quotes turned off. Any idea what could be causing this? All my other custom embeds work as they should. I'm on SMF 1.1.11 with the newest beta of aeva.
