Update your language files. Use a diff tool to compare earlier and newer versions, as usual. I renamed some of the Highslide strings to avoid overlapping strings (namely aeva_close).

Guys, I'll be taking a break this weekend... I'm exhausted. I will postpone Aeva Media's update to next week. I don't think the view counts are worth any express release anyway (and the Highslide stuff still needs some tweaking.)

Try to uninstall Topic Prefix Pro before installing the converter :-)

I don't the ATP on that forum, plus it doesn't modify the Database structure of AM or SMF Gallery and works like a charm in all the SMF's that I have ATP installed.

Nao I tried to convert using SMG and the Lite Converter but didn't work because all the images were losed, I did the same with the Pro Converter and didn't work either.

Nibogo, did you use the latest converter from the mod page?

Also, I do NOT support recent versions of SGP and SGL. I don't know what changes vbgamer45 may have made to them. (Heck, I'm not even forced to support any version )

I tried the new converter and the old converted and I know that you don't support the recent versions of both mods but the forum where I tried the conversion was using a pretty old version of SGP the problem won't be if it's to new the problem maybe is if the SGP is too old, I'm going to check it and compare it with the newest version of the SGL and see if there are any changes to the DB and then fix the script. Just a question do you know if there are a lot of DB changes between the Lite and the Pro version of the SMF Gallery?

It's only an idea.. maybe would be nice to have the possibility to set the order of custom fields to be showed when adding/editing an item!

An example: a custom field can be related to the Creative Commons license, so the choices could be "by, by-sa, by-nc-nd, etc..". Another custom field could be the CC license version, so for example "1.0, 2.0, 2.1, 3.0"..
If I first add the CC license, and then I remember to add the version number too, AM will show the version number displayed as the first of the custom fields (latest fields added in options are always on top).... In this case I'd want to set the CC license to be viewed before the version number (it has more sense).... but I can't..

The "Unread" counter just isn't working out at all for me.  I just logged in as Admin and uploaded 19 pictures.  Then I logged in as me and there were 19 pictures new.  I went in and made a comment on one of them and when I go back to the forum it says I have 14 new.  I go to the filmstrip view and then it says I have 5 new.  But the most I looked at was 3.  I didn't look at any in the lightbox.

Ok first of all, great mod guys ...love it.

and now i have a few questions

1) How do I change the word "Media" which shows up in the menu item and on user's profile pages to "Photo Gallery" ?

2) I want to put a "camera" icon in the user's box in the forum posts. Where you have icons for "View profile, Personal Message, Email".

So you need a camera icon which links to http://localhost/smf2/profile/?area=aeva;u=4   ( for user number 4)

just like you have http://localhost/smf2/profile/?u=4   profile for user number 4

This is easy to do..i can do it myself..i am just not able to find which template to look at. it's too early in the morning i guess

3) Why does the aeva.template have $xoops everywhere ...was this made previously for xoops ?

I am having similar problems. I am not able to set permissions by which regular members aren't allowed to delete , move , unapprove images.

I have just one "Default Profile" and all albums are set to Default profile

Guests - only one option clicked - "View who rated what"

err...even if i register myself as a new user ...i can see the Admin link and when i click on it ...it says at the bottom "Gallery Managers" : and you can see the new user in it.

I think it's something to do with sessions or cookies ..since i am logging as admin and user from same host. I will try on my server and see what happens.

sorry - problem solved ....i had the whole of forum settings for aeva as turned on for regular members. one must remember to turn those off as well.

I'm having, perhaps, a similar issue.

I finally got Avea Media to work after manually changing all the utf8 collations in it's tables from unicode to general...  then uploaded a few test files which worked well. All good... but then after several hours the Media "button" in the main menu disappears. 


* This is on a separate test site before we roll it into production. No one else has access to it.


I first looked to see if some admin setting had switched it off... but there isn't one for it that I could find. Checked permissions... buy Hey!! Admin... couldn't be that.

So into the code I go and everything is where the mod's installer put it.  Little code Gremlins did not come in the dead of night and steal any code.



Over at the official hard-to-follow-in-French Avea support site, they suggested first... that it was a theme issue... then finally settled on it being a SMF problem,  [PUNT!]


* As to it being a theme issue,  the mod does not alter any default template files... so whatever template files it adds would be used from all themes from the default folder.  I'm pretty sure...



So we're back to the runaway Media Menu item and where the heck did it go?  The code is there.. but it won't show. Permissions or settings? Souinds like it... but I sure can't  find any to change or set.


* On the Avea support site, another admin with the same issue reported that he/she tried to uninstall and reinstall... but that did not fix it. I believe that might be due to the uninstall not removing the tables from the database. So if any bad data gets in there... its still there when the mod is installed again.




So if anyone see's a missing Media Menu item stroll by, please give me a shout.

Is it possible to NOT DISPLAY the new counter at all ? So i have a lot of pictures in an album only for using them in threads and it's not needed to show right beside the new counter then; i hope you know what i mean.

My entire site went down when I ran the Aeva Media mod.  I clicked the "Install" button and I was immediately redirected to a page that indicated an Internal Server Error, specifically, 500 Internal Server Error.  I've tried hitting the site from a PC with IE6 and another that has Google Chrome and IE8 and nothing works.  Each page ends up at the 500 Internal Server Error.  I didn't have any other Mods installed on the site and it is running SMF 1.1.11.

Error log on server indicates "Premature end of script headers" on index.php (main site index).

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

bcr... why do you think starting a new thread will get you any faster response?   Most of the people who use this mod read only this one thread...
