What I see too, is that when I edit a post of someone (standard member), with a youtube link inside it, save it, the video doesn't want to show up.
But if I make a reply by my own, the video is ok.

Tried this "Use earlier, Javascript-less, embedding system" no good results for me...

Thanks Nao for the new version :)

I had a similar issue upon install to one mentioned a couple of pages back, and I post it here to help others with the same problem.

My site has SMF Links installed. This adds a menu item, but it leaves the subs file untidy. When AeMe installs it looks for:
'mlist' => array(
however SMF Links has left it as:
'mlist' => array(
i.e. without the leading tabs, and so the AeMe install returns an error.

I worked around this by continuing with the install then adding the AeMe menu block after. Alternatively you could try uninstalling SMF Links, installing AeMe then re-installing SMF Links.

Unfortunately that's not really something that can be readily fixed in Aeva Media as it's SMF Links' fault.

@RoarinRow, the "Jasmine Rambling" played just fine, and others before it were displayed as well. :)

Great, thank you Lord High Warlock!

Yes, I post it here merely to help others with the same problem. I have posted in the SMF Links thread to request that they change their install accordingly :)

see attachment!

would be a great idea to have a proper background colour behind the text! :'(
can I do this?

Speaking from experience of mods generally, though I have no knowledge of SMF Links specifically, mod authors generally do not care about making things work with other mods. Oftentimes it's hard enough to get it to just work in the first place.

Why use such an ugly theme in the first place? ;D
I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered.

Aeva Media rocks your life.

wow what a helpful response!  :-*

actually my forum is quite attractive and unique - it only looks bad in the backgroundless media player Home :P
any code to fix that up to a maybe white background?

okay: uninstalling this mod until problem fixed!

Farjo

LOL

It seems a good mod so hopefully the author is unaware of the problem and will fix it  O:)

I upgraded from 7.0 to 1.1 without any installation problems.  But now the YouTube video doesn't show up.  There seems to be a place holder where the video should be because I see a big blank spot and the title of the video at the bottom.

I checked the properties of the YouTube video and it is set to allow embedding for external sites.

Any idea want could be the problem?  I uninstalled 7.0 before upgrading to 1.1.
I'm having the same issue on a virgin SMF2 RC3 install (testing).

I had the same too. It works when you disable WYSIWYG editor. With WYSIWYG enabled it only posts a link.

Not here. I have not been using the WYSIWYG editor and the problem exists.

@mckay> I don't usually provide fixes for small sites any longer. I don't want to update the site list when it's really for something that no one would use anyway (or close enough.) Please fix this on your side and submit the fix, I won't take time myself to do it. (Or at best, I will remove support for that site entirely.)

That's cool.  Can you (or anyone else) tell me if it's possible to make it so that funnyordie links don't become embedded?  Our forum is for a guy whose stuff is exclusively on funnyordie and nowhere else.  I like the functionality of the mod for everything else so if it's possible to just ignore funnyordie links that'd be fantastic.

Arantor

Can't you just disable funnyordie through the admin panel? You can disable other sites this way...

Arantor

Somewhere in Aeva's control panel there should be an option. I don't actually use the mod myself (whistles)

I think how I changed that was to use

Admin --> Aeva Media --> Settings

Main settings --> Welcome message.

In there I simply typed what I wanted to see. Does that work?

I already deleted that mod!

Hi,

Upgraded (well, uninstalled and re-installed) today from 1.0 to 1.1 on SMF 2.0 RC2 ... After a little manual fiddling  all is great with the new version. NONE of my data was lost at all ... impressive :)

new features are great, Videos now count appropriately, and Mass Uploading appears to be working perfectly wih multiple large files.

Excellent work all around !!!!!!
