I'm sure you gave me and my users another reason to visit the forum and I wanted to say THANK YOU...

Thanks again...

CKWT

Totally agree...
I installed Aeva (note it's not Avea :D :D) even with the thought of this mod not being supported because.. honestly.. there is no other media mod that comes close to this one.
I have a couple of small questions.. but am afraid to ask them at the moment. Will spend a few days looking through the last 110 pages to try and find a answer that may have already been posted ;)

Greetings. I tried to install 2 mods tonight & neither one worked. Not via the package manager or manually. I even tried this: http://resourcez.biz/PackageParser/

This is the error I'm getting: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_DOUBLE_ARROW in /var/www/domains/dawnswebdesigns.com/docs/board/Sources/Load.php on line 1099

Thanks for any help. :)

In the /Sources/Load.php there is a "," in the loop... in other words, there is a piece of code misplaced.

Actually it tells you exactly where it is... on line 1099

I'm sorry I couldn't tell you Nao. I couldn't even get to my site...so I had to take it all back off. But CKWT seems to have figured it out. I was thinking about taking the "," out but he's saying it's misplaced.

check this out:
<operation>
<search position="before"><![CDATA['local_time' => timeformat(time() + ($profile['timeOffset'] - $user_info['time_offset']) * 3600, false),]]></search>
<add><![CDATA[
'aeva' => array(
'total_items' => $profile['aeva_items'],
'total_comments' => $profile['aeva_comments'],
),]]></add>
</operation>

Do you see the ),]] at the end? Is that it?

I did notice something else too. What you have for index.template don't look anything like the code for the rest of the buttons...not even on the default. But on the theme I'm using...nothing like it. And the 2nd step you have to take:

<operation>
<search position="after"><![CDATA[ if ($context['current_action'] == 'theme')]]></search>
<add><![CDATA[ if ($context['current_action'] == 'media')
$current_action = 'media';
]]></add>
</operation>

That's not in the theme @ all.

Of course...that's probably a theme problem & I'll have to take it to the theme creator but it's also your mod so I'm just letting you know.

Thanks for your help you all. :)

The , is usually supposed to be there as it's part of the list of items.

Without seeing the actual file we can't tell you.

As for that code... what version of SMF are you using?

Totally off topic but just an FYI, this is what I see when I go to your site (see attached pic). Could possibly detour users from going to your site.

I have never used https: & I don't know that many others do either. Therefore I have never seen this before. Is this something you type in (the s) for security purposes?

Did I post a link including the s? If I did it was a typo.

I've heard if you want to sell things you have to buy something so you can set up secure web forms where people could type in their credit card info safely. I forget what you call it right this second & that's because I don't sell things. I'm not a member of etrust or anything. I don't sell nothing & if I ever do get money for donations or anything it's via PayPal. So I'm not paying extra to have a secure server & secure web forms.

I will send this on to my host though & see what's up cuz should people type in the s then yes...this is what they see. And no...it don't look so good. It looks like I'm a scam artist or a sneaky hag or something. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. :)

It's in the link that's in your signature ;)

Yeah I noticed that. It was indeed a typo...& I've fixed it. But I guess I should be glad I did it cuz if I hadn't I would've never known. The note's just as bad in IE. So I wrote my host about it. I don't think people use the s much but when/if they do that's just ugly.

Maybe people do only use the s if they've paid extra for the secure server for their secure web forms. But I didn't. Still...I'm not the only one who does typos. So you'd think they could put something else there rather then make me look like a scamming hag. I hope so. :)

Had missed that. Thanks guys.

Who told you that? There's a difference between not supported and not supported here. At least by me...

As I said, I'm no longer providing support here. I'm only providing it on aeva.noisen.com (where anyone can post even new topics as a *guest* anyway, and use the RSS feeds to keep posted without having to come back.)
What is no longer supported is the YouTube BBC mod.
Very oddly, ever since it officially started being UNsupported, it entered the Top 5 of most popular mods, and never left it so far. It's been weeks... I don't understand people. ;)

Quotebecause.. honestly.. there is no other media mod that comes close to this one.
Well, I'd give my opinion but then again I'm biased ;)

lol.. all I can say is.. Keep up the great work mate ;)
My site has been missing a good gallery for a few years now.. because there just was nothing around that I liked.. until I switched to SMF :)

Currently I'm taking some time off to play games I've left on my shelf for the last couple of years (when I was busy on AeMe...), and improving my site's blogging system. I spent some time evaluating WordPress and realized it was missing so many of the features that are in mine -- because it's based off SMF. Kinda reignited my desire to make it a worthy competitor, even though pretty much no one uses noisen for blogging ;)

'kay... It's prolly going to be faster & easier to ask here for some feedback rather than on noisen, so could some of you please test my latest changes?

http://media.noisen.com/album/1/
http://media.noisen.com/album/2/

After many failed tries over the last few months, I've finally managed to add some decent support for rounded corners on thumbnails.
The initial problem is that neither Opera 10.5x nor Firefox 3.x support the border-radius (or -moz-border-radius) css rule on IMG tags. Chrome and Safari can do it, but I'm not going to have two codepaths just for that.
So I played with CSS and instead of having a simple IMG, I have:
- an enclosing div set to the dimensions of the image, and centered. A background is added (our image), and border-radius is set on it.
- inside it, our regular anchor, which is turned from an inline element into a block element, so that it's clickable everywhere... (needed for the invisible img)
- and then, inside it, an invisible img (visibility: hidden -- which is different from display: none), unfortunately it can't just be a 'placeholder', it has to have all of the other parameters: width and height (otherwise the anchor tag won't work), and url (without this, Highslide wouldn't work.)
Edit -- My bad, emptying src works perfectly. I noticed the issue much earlier this morning, it was probably due to another bug which I fixed in the meantime. Headache...!

As a result, unfortunately -- more markup, and most notably, the URL for the image is printed twice in the HTML code. I hate it, but I must admit I like the visual results -- subtle rounded corners on all images. This fits the Curved theme quite nicely, and removes some of the 'blocky' aspects of having a large gallery of thumbnails.

So, I would like your feedback on the rounded corners on thumbnails.

1/ Do you like how it looks? Especially when compared with blocky thumbnails?
2/ Does it NOT work on your browser? (If you're using Internet Explorer, it won't work. Don't mind asking me. If you're using IE anyway, you're crazy in the first place. :P)
3/ Do you want this for your gallery? (i.e. should it be included in the next Aeva Media update?)

(And yes it's a free addition, not a Foxy! feature, don't worry.)

And the double URL problem wasn't a problem actually (see my post edits.)
