Hey guys,  I didnt want to open a new thread for this request and I search and couldnt find the answer.

First of all I love the Mod.
Second, not problem installing is working like it should.

Here is my request. I know that adding a picture or a link from the Media to a topic or thread is as easy as typing the smg id. But Wouldt be easy when I am creating a topic or thread and I want to attach a picture from the gallery to have like an attach from Media gallery button and that it shows the pictures. Cause right now this is what Im doing so you guys get the idea.

I  uploaded pictures of my ride in the Media gallery no problem. Then I wanted to create a Thread about my ride with the Modification and Specifications of the car. After creating the thread now I want to add those pictures to the thread. But I dont have a way unless I open a second browser, go to the media album to get the image code an then continue doing that until I finish.

I hope I dont repeat myself too much but I dont know if Im been clear of my request :(

Thanks in advance!
I think you need 2.0 and Foxy! addon to do that

OK Il check in the Foxy thing. Thanks!

'Media button by other user'?
Nao, so sorry that I confused you. I am very new in this and trying to learn fast on doing this.

After intalling AEVA Media, I managed to create one album by clicking on menu. But when I logout from my account and using another username to login, I cannot see the Media button on menu anymore. Or so do say I can't find any way to access/view the album created with earliler login. Under Permission Profile/Default Profile membergroup permission was all ticked. Privacy in album checked all Read/Write.

Can you help me?

Nao 尚

There's another set of permissions in the regular SMF section... It's even written as a warning in plain view in the perm profile area............... ::)

I've updated the topic's title in case its purpose wasn't explicit enough. :P

As a reminder, as the author, I'm still not officially providing support here. (Heck, I'm not providing official support anywhere right now with my other tasks waiting.) Of course, nothing prevents anyone (or even me) to actually do it.

Thanks Nao....now I know why I should try harder.

jaisi,
The problem you are having -- needing to uninstall manually -- is not exactly an AEVA media problem.  It is a general technique for cleaning up after installs or uninstalls gone wrong for many different reasons.

The list of files you need to clean up is probably exactly the same as the list for the most recent version. And you can get that by going to the mod's page and getting the list of manual install instructions for your version of SMF.

One thing that makes AEVA media easier to work with than some other mods is that it always marks its edits with "AEVA" as well as a "begin" and an "end", which just makes this common task easier to perform. Many thanks to Nao for that!

Actually, you should thank Karl Benson for that. I only followed on this excellent habit of his.

Indeed. Commented code makes life one million times easier for untutored shlubs like myself. I imagine it makes life easier for developers too. Especially when more than one person has to work on it.

@proffrdenis> Make sure your $txt['lang_locale'] is set to something like de_DE@euro or de_DE, then.

is all the time set to de_DE and you shure this change the date from "Feb 19, 2008" to "19. Feb. 2008" ?

No idea for my problem?

Hi there!

I have a small problem or question. Seems that it has been already asked and sicussed here http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=200401.msg2330814;topicseen#msg2330814 but it seems also in the actual version be not solved.

I have uploaded in my forum (SMF 2 RC3 with actual AEVA) a video from my cellphone in mp4. It shows in the gallery the correct first pic, but when I start playing it, it shows no video, only audio.

When I download the file then I can play it in Windows.

This is a remnant from several years ago, when Karl was developing the very first versions of Aevac... I should have removed it since then I guess... It's not like performance is an issue any longer I believe.

Hi there!

This means for me it is a well known bug? Any idea when it is going to be fixed? Like to put cellphone videos on my gallery.

Hi

I'd first like to THANK EVERYONE involved in making this EXCELLENT MOD.

I have one question and i apologise if its be asked/answered before.

I mainly use this mod to host photos, is they any way in which i can link some of the photos within albums into POSTS on the forum itself?

i've looked through some of the settings but cannot find an actual link to the images stored on my server within Aeva.

Kind Regards

Noel

Somebody else will know better than I do, but with the encrypted filenames and embed code in the way you may have to link to copies from a different. That's actually good because if the plain filenames and paths were obvious it would be much less secure that way.
