@dkharp> There are $owner_id occurrences in Aeva-Gallery2.php. Just edit the file and replace them with $owner (without '_id'). That should fix it. Thanks for the report (that's what happens when all beta testers are admins at the same time ;))

Will re-release the fixed version later today. Or install SVN rev 153 if you want it now.
I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered.

Here you go. Last time I'm helping you on this. Remember to backup your file. You'll have to copy it back when you want to uninstall subaccounts.
Why don't you simply uninstall AM, then subaccounts, then reinstall AM, then subaccounts? Is that so hard to do? It's only like, 8 clicks... And it would save me this kind of post.  :-\

PS: I'm *still* waiting for SlammedDime's answer. I can't fix the problem for him. (Well, I did, but he still has to implement it into his mod...)

To everyone!

I've uploaded a fixed version to replace the existing Beta 1. It is still called 'Beta 1', as the change is very minor (see above), and less than 24 hours had elapsed anyway.

I've also used the opportunity to upload a new set of mod screenshots to replace the aging Aeva-only screens which were taken by Karl Benson back in the days.

I did try doing the uninstall and reinstall..  To no avail..  I'm not sure what was changed in the Load.php but it worked..  Instead of having to do these manual edits for us to fix it seeing as we'd have to ask for help every update..  Could you just let us know the edit that needs to be made so that we can change it ourselves from now on and don't have to take up your time?  I know it's much better put to use as a mod developer, beta tester and webmaster of your own website..

In a file Aeva-Subs-Vital.php, in the function aeva_db_replacement_callback(), I think that:

      case 'raw';

must be

      case 'raw':

When i add a Justin.tv Channels to a board, it will now play.

Does anyone else have the same problem?

Nevermind, I did a search and found out what to do. Before the mods chew me out like they did everyone else who didn't read first, IM GOOD, THANKS!

Report from the 1.0 beta1 version in Greek Utf8 (SMF 2.0 RC2):
I have created a new album with more than 8 Greek characters successful in the title BUT as i have tried to edit the title again i become the flowing error:

Quote@missynl> Permission profiles!
Thank you.. i now have shut it down for everyone... the only thing is that with some features i want to make it downloadeble.. and some not... So i thought.. isnt there an option that i have overlooked to make a single item downloadble...
Sorry for my poor English, but i think it's probably better then your Dutch :)

Hello,
currently I'm using SMG 1.5.6 and Aeva 6.9.100 in my public forum and Aeva Media alpha 3 in my test forum. The new Aeva Media looks very nice to me and has some new features which I was waiting for a long time, but until now there is one behavior which prevents me from using the new Aeva media for my public forum:

If a member is creating a new album, a full list of member groups of the forum is presented to him and he is asked to select the access rights, instead of simply choosing "access for guest: yes/no" as in the former SMG. I do not want to let my users choose the accesses of all the member groups of my forum, as a "normal user" does (and should) not know the meaning of the groups. A possibility of using a simple mode of setting the user album access rights, as in former SMG, would be very nice. Using this mode could be selectable by the admin in the settings.

Kind regards,
Dirk

v2.0 RC2

Some members love to have pictures in their signature lines which when clicked on play music from Youtube in a separate window.

I've installed Aeva which is marvellous but it also shows the video and the signature picture all at once.

Is there anything I can add to the code eg.

[ url=http://youtubevideo=player_embedded][ b][ img]http://imageshackpicture

(spaces deliberate)

to stop this happening?

Finally solved. Please delete Mr/Ms Moderator lol

@SEEN> I can't help you if you don't enable gallery access to guests.... I don't see your Media button.

@Automative Nation> I already posted the edits... (And if you're talking about Aeva Media's manual installation, a link is available on every single mod page.)

@MonoTiz> It's not a bug. Both are correct according to PHP.

@leftezi> Already fixed this morning in my re-release. (Can people please read AT LEAST the last page of a topic before posting a known issue to it?)

@MissyNL> Just put that item into a sub-album to which you'll attribute a different permission profile with download rights.

@Hannilein> I already addressed this a few pages earlier. Now, I said it back then, I'll repeat it now: tons of people have asked me for the ability to let users fine-tune who could post to a group and who couldn't. I don't see why now there are people who are complaining that I'm giving too much freedom. You can't have it all.

In order to add albums to albums not owned by you, you must do it from the *admin* area. It's the only way of making sure an admin doesn't have to load hundreds of albums just to go to the Add Album page. This is also a failsafe way of ensuring they're not adding albums everywhere without even realizing they're doing something that can be considered as rude.

Tiny Portal what?

There are hundreds of methods to rotate an image in PHP (http://php.net/manual/en/function.imagerotate.php), just using imagerotate() is enough and faster if the server supports it. (It usually will.)

Still doesn't change anything to the fact that it'd be awfully complex to implement. It may be easy enough to ROTATE a picture, but it's not easy to handle it.
Let's say I have a picture I want to rotate by 90° right. I click on said button. Then I realize I was mistaken -- I wanted to rotate it 90° left. So I have to click the button again, twice. That means my picture got reprocessed a total of 3 times. (Up to 7 times if I missed the correct position the first time around.) 80% quality * 80% * 80% = 51.2% of the original quality, at best. Not acceptable. So, what should I do? I should have a temp folder where I store the rotated picture, and then a 'Confirm' button to save the picture in its original place. That way, I can rotate each time from the original file, making sure the final quality is always 80% of the original file.
Okay, now do you really think I'm excited at the idea of implementing something complex like that? I'm not.
Then there's the Exif thing. I still don't know how to deal with that, so I won't elaborate on it.

Now, I can do it the other way: client-side.
Several solutions:
1/ Javascript. I tried it, it doesn't work. It's slow, unresponsive, can't possibly do that.
2/ Flash. Didn't try it. Didn't find some component that does just that. Would probably be incompatible with Highslide anyway.
3/ SVG. Supported by all browsers, except for IE. Of course... Well, this one I managed to deal with. I actually managed to make a small three-line script in SVG that shows a rotated picture, nothing more, nothing less. But it seems to be very erratic when it comes to resize very large pictures (at least a few megapixels). The more logical solution would be to simply let the user rotate the *preview*, but not the fullsize picture. Also, there's a Google-sponsored Javascript system that allows showing SVG on IE, through the use of a Flash component. Ironically, that particular component doesn't have any problems with large pictures, but it's still Flash -- i.e. probably not much compatible with Highslide, at least not compatible without a lot of work.

See? I gave it thought. I just never could bring myself to doing it so far.

               $sin = sin($wrad); if($sin < 0) $sin*=-1;
               $cos = cos($wrad); if($cos < 0) $cos*=-1;
I love that code, lol...

               $sin = abs(sin($wrad));
               $cos = abs(cos($wrad));

Does the same thing, only faster, and cleaner.

I know how to do the manual edits..  And I see you posted the edits in my Load.php that I uploaded and you corrected..  I do not see the edits that you made to my Load.php so I was asking what was it that was changed so that I can make those edits manually if/when I have to upgrade AM or Subaccounts..  That way I know what needs to be changed and won't have to ask for help next time..

I think Hannilein's issue is that he'd rather not allow an unknown nobody user to have access to a list of the names of all the user groups available, as the names of some of the groups might be sensitive.

On a side note... what's the deal with requiring a moderator to approve messages?  I know it's not your choice Nao... I'm asking the powers that be.
