How I set a group to moderate the gallery? There seems to be no such permissions option in both the SMF permission settings and the Aeva Media permission profiles.

Also, I'm getting the error "This album's directory couldn't be properly created, please make sure mgal_data/ and mgal_data/albums/ are chmodded to 0777 or 0755." when trying to make a new album, even though the directories are chmoded 777. What's the problem here?

First off I have to say this is one of the greatest mods I have ever used. My users love it.

I'm trying to embed flash video from my server. I'm new to flash, and this is what I have so far. I'm hoping someone can help me make this work?

Just upgraded to the latest version of AM  on RC2 and still having 1 issue. Embedding videos does not embed but rather places a link.
How to "fix" this? I've read from page 66 to current and haven't found a solution.

Is this with videos embedded from websites or your own? If from websites make sure AM is enabled in the CP. If your own and AM is enabled it might mean that it doesn't recognize the codec the video is encoded in. At least it has for me in the past.

Mainly Youtube videos. AM is enabled.

Try asking about it in the AEVA Support Board, since the Mod's authors and users know more about their Mods than we do.

Problem solved: forgot to give permissions in the forum Permissions (permissions were given only for the album)

Aside of this, I'd like to know if there's anyway to show the "recent pics" or "recent comments" somewhere in the forum (for example together with the recent posts). Because currently the only way people know there's a new picture is accesing http://myforum.com/index.php?action=media right?

Or you could simply be using the video upload module from the gallery area...? Then use smg tags to embed them.

Nope, that's not what you're looking for...
You need to find 'Aeva.english-utf8', not 'Admin.english-utf8'.
But, I think I know why this is happening...
Aparently, Aeva mod doesn't support English UTF-8 (at least not the version I'm using, which is the latest one), so I think you have 2 options:

1) Start using English (non UTF-8).

2) 'Adapt' Aeva mod to English UTF-8. In this case, go to:

Code Select Expand

/Themes/default/languages

Copy the 'Aeva.english.php' to your PC, change it to UTF-8 and upload it to the same directory with the name 'Aeva.english-utf8.php'.

I apologize if this issue has been addressed already.
I currently have an older version of AVEA, 7.0.701.  I want to install Aeva Media 1.0.  When I try to uninstall the Aeva 7.0, I get this message:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in D:\Hosting\5108739\html\forum\Sources\Subs-Package.php on line 1863

I used SMF's error find/repair recently and it found no errors.

edit: In m Browse Packages page, I couldn't uninstall Aeva 7.0.701 but it did let me [Delete] the package.  Now when I go to [Apply Mod], after uploading the zip file, I get a similar error message:

PS: When I go to my package manager, it says I have no installed packages yet from the "Features and Options" page there is an Aeva tab.  hmm...
