You are right Nao. It is PHP4.  >:(  Is there a work-around for this other than asking my host to switch to PHP5?
Just don't use IMagick, and edit to file to replace the Imagick::SOMETHING call with a dummy 'false', for instance. Since the function will never be called, it can have any dummy parameter.

Thanks Nao. problem solved. After reading the FAQ of my host, I added
QuoteAddType application/x-httpd-php5 .php .php4 .php3 .php5
to the .htaccess file. Installation went fine after that.

Nao, is there any easy way I can restrict a video site to only embed on a specific board?

I only want BBC to work on my 'News' board so my writers can embed them but for it to be disabled everywhere else because the new bigger sized videos don't work with your mod yet and thus I don't want loads of people complaining when their video doesn't play.

You can do it by changing loadBoard() to set $context['aeva_disable'] (or set $context['aeva_enable'], I'm not sure) if the board ID is not what you're looking for...

v1.3a is out...
It's mainly for those of you who are using PHP 4. The fix was pretty easy in the end... ;)

Version 1.3a                                         July 1, 2010
-----------------------------------------------------------------
! Fixed support for PHP 4
+ Added support for embedding MP4 files in Photobucket
* Moved Google Maps to the Popular Sites area, and fixed support for some URL types

There might be some other nonsense in its place, but not that exact nonsense. If all of science were wiped out, it would still be true and someone would find a way to figure it all out again."

Sometimes, I need to post the code twice - then delete the first lot of code - for the map to show but that's when I've been trying to post a Street View link which then ends up as a map.

When posting a map itself all's fine.

1.3a installed A-OK. Another triumph, Nao.  :)

DS : if you're trying to post the html have a look also in Google Help section where the discussion suggests some problems are related to browsers and that we should post only a 'snippet' of the html code. In short, some probs are Google's fault.

I have found a workaround by deleting all the code up to </object> then using html tags each end of what remains.

I don't think that's what Nao intended though...

Edit : OK, one small prob : if I zoom in too much on a map I get thrown off my own site onto the Google site itself. Is there anything I can add to the URL code to make it open in a window instead?

On trying to install this package, the installer runs fine but hiccups at Execution 10. Specifically on step 2; add before 'mlist' => array( . Test Failed!

All other "Execute Modification" tests are successful.

Please advise.

TheListener

This just means the file which states 'Test Failed' requires a manual edit.

Google map still not embedding for me.  :(
Double install or something, maybe...?

I did what I could. I looked into your website, tried to log in but my account is linked to OpenID and apparently you disabled OpenID so I can't log in at all.
I then looked for a page where AeMe was being used, then used the $cache_id to disrupt the embedding process for that particular post and replace it with a custom post on the fly (I'm so nerdy sometimes.) Turned out that:
- Just having the GMap URL didn't embed anything at all... Dunno why.
- Trying to embed the <iframe> code directly worked. However, if I kept the embed code given by GMap, the map would appear twice. I don't know why exactly. Since embed fixes aren't supposed to be fixed on the fly at view time anyway, this isn't very important...

Couldn't reproduce things like the <iframe> code showing up with the first characters deleted, etc.
Can't do much without an admin account for best results...

Sorry and I enabled OpenID...it' just that guests are hitting OpenID in my error logs therefore disable it. You should have access to it this time. :)

Well it's a bit late for tonight though. (Past midnight here.) Will look into it tomorrow.

Also, there are solutions to avoid the OpenID log spamming... They're mentioned over at the bug tracker. I recently bumped the report ;)

There are two patches, which should I use?

Dismal... In case you didn't notice, I fixed your issue.
It only happened when the embed was the first thing in the post. Any text before it and it was okay. I didn't get to understand why it didn't work, but the technique I was using was a bit confusing anyway. Now it inserts a dummy <aeva-begin> instead of a <br /> and it deletes all occurrences when all embeds in the post are done, rather than removing a ghost <br /> on each occurrence.
Will be in 1.3b...

If you can't wait, just unzip the file attached below into your Sources folder. (Usual thing as for the package: don't redistribute, etc.)

You shouldn't be using v1.1.5 to begin with... It's a serious security concern for your site.

I think I fell in love with aeva more. ;D
Thank you Nao, hope this works for YogiBear as well. :)
