Well, I can't see the media button, I have no idea what link you're clicking, but index.php?action=media (which is consistent with all the other menu buttons takes me back to the board listing), which suggests it didn't install properly.

Hmm. It was working yesterday though. The only thing changed was my index.template.php file for the default theme.

Which suggests it's still not installed properly.

Even though it said it did when I installed it and it was working fine yesterday?

-sigh-

Yes, even though it said it did when you installed it. My basis for that conclusion was the fact that when I went to action=media (which should have been the URL, though you never confirmed whether it was or not), that I wasn't directed to an error page, but instead to the board index - thus Aeva's code isn't picking up the action handler. That's not a Pretty URL thing, since other actions are still index.php?action=media.

And if you get a whole bunch of errors on uninstall, invariably that's because it can't find the code to remove it - because it's not there in the first place.

My site went down last Friday and the host finally got around to restoring it yesterday.

All seems well and I've run full maintenance both on Aeva and the forum itself.

However, every time I click to see Who's Online this error shows up in the error log...

Line 1749 $ret[2] = $actions['in'];   and it is Aeva related.

It's something I can live with but simply curious to know why it's happening?

Has anyone else noticed this?

Edit : cured - there was an (unwanted) member awaiting activation. Once I'd deleted him the error stopped occurring.

Hello all,

I have installed the Aeva Media 1.4c a few days ago. I must say it's a really great mod. Thank you for creating this.

I have created some albums and the members started uploading. So far there are about 17 photos.
A member tried to upload a photo today and he got the following error:
"Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 536870912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1275625489 bytes) in /home/foldername/public_html/forum/Sources/Aeva-Exif.php on line 1588"

Please note that this member has uploaded 15 photos so far in the same directory. Is there a quota for members? I haven't changed any settings for size and quota. At "Max size of a directory" I have 51400KB.

I have downloaded all the uploaded photos of that directory and total size is 1.14MB
My "Max size of a directory" is 50MB and
the "post_max_size" is 15MB

After the member notified me about the problem I have tried to upload a photo and I had no problem uploading the photo.

Is the problem on the specific member?

I'm using smf v2.RC5

Thanking you in advance.

Arantor? Any idea on the above error? I have also disabled the EXIF but still the same error message.

Arantor

The problem you hit is because someone tried to upload a very, very, very large image, and it died tried to load all the image at once to be able to handle it. There's no other reason it should attempt to allocate 1.2GB of memory in a single operation.

I don't know why it worked for you and not for them *shrug* I can't see Nao digging to investigate it.

Eyesman

Thank you Arantor.
I will check the file size to see if that is the problem.

Cheers.

mr.hemp

after the move of hosts, did you run repair_settings.php?
Is your directory and url structure correct in SMF admin?  Is it correct in smf admin > AEVA admin?

mr.hemp

sorry but im not sure where to find repair_stttings.php.

im not sure if the structure is correct but ill post it here:

the structure in smf admin is:
SMF Directory: /customers/b/1/c/420fo.com/httpd.www
Sources Directory: /customers/b/1/c/420fo.com/httpd.www/Sources
Cache Directory: /customers/b/1/c/420fo.com/httpd.www/cache

aeva media admin structure is:
Data directory path: /customers/b/1/c/420fo.com/httpd.www/mgal_data
Data directory URL: ftp://[email protected]/mgal_data

Kindred

and if you changed hosts, then you almost certainly have to run repair_settings.php in order to make your forum work at all....

however, that Data directory URL: that you have is bogus...   it should not be ftp
