Have you got any other mods installed at the moment? If not I would re-copy all of the files from the large upgrade package again and start over fresh.

I had a couple of other mods installed but then I truncated the smf package logs db table and now the uninstall option has gone missing since I wiped out the logs. I know it's my fault. I should have taken a backup since I had no idea what I was actually doing.

I think if you copy the large upgrade files again and start fresh you might have more luck than trying to rescue the current install of SMF.

But that won't be of any use because I tried installing Aeva fresh after the upgrade so doing the same will basically lead to the same outcome. There has to be a fix for this?

What version of AEVA are you trying to install?

Re-copying the large upgrade files should basically give you a complete fresh install of SMF. If AEVA won't install after that then it is possible there is a problem with your database. Did you run upgrade.php after upgrading to RC5?

Yes, I too think it's likely an issue with the database because if I can recall correctly I had Aeva-Media-1.4c installed I think. Damn! if I didn't truncate my logs I would have been able to check that.

At this point I would try to re-copy the large upgrade again in case something went amiss on the first try. Other than that I'm about out of ideas. Maybe someone else can think of something else. Good luck.

Hi all,
I am using Aeva lite and SMF 1.1.13

Aeva embeds the youtube links properly in my post but when I try and play a video I get this message
An error occurred, please try again later

When I right click on the player and choose to play the video on youtube, the video plays fine at youtube.

The videos were working just fine when I first installed Aeva lite a few weeks ago.
I am not sure why I have this problem now.

Doing a google search results in thousands of people getting the same error with embedded players.
I have not found any solutions that worked so far.

Streaming local avi and wmv files is still working without any problems.

Anyone have any info on this error?

AEVA lite was not updated with the fix noted several pages ago...

ah, so there was a fix on the other version.

I will hunt that fix up and see if it could be applied to lite.
