Doesn't appear to be the case, as I uninstalled that and got the same error anyway.

EDIT: Figured out the issue. Turns out that it was calling the names list for members, and that was not working for some reason or another. Deleting the "owner name" in the config page allowed the album to be made.

Help.....
I've upgraded to 2.0 final and now i don't have the main menu button for Aeva. I still see all the images in my gallery block and the Admin section is still there as well.

Please help me find my menu button for the members....

Cheers

Can anyone shoot me a link to a post on their SMF 1.1.13 forum with an embedded Aeva youtube video.

I still cannot view youtube videos on my own forums.
My forum members are able to play the vids just fine

I want to see if it's the same for me on other SMF forums

Thanks

did you re-install aeva after upgrading?
Yes i did. Uninstalled and re-installed a couple of times.

Kindred

why do people do that?   Computers do not learn by repetition. if you did it several times, there is a good chance that something is screwed up.   Do a manual check of the installation/changed code.

How would one do a manual check?
And the only reason i tried a couple of times install was because while searching here on the subject usually the first thing people say is "Did you try and re-install it" in case something was missed.... LOL! ;)

Kindred

look at the mod package either in a package parser or read the XML file/instructions and verify that all code is installed (once) in the correct location and that all code changes were applied correctly (and once)

I don't know why people ask that... it's silly. If something was MISSED, then re-installing it will either miss it again or duplicate the non-missed portions.

If i change the subs.php file to an older one it works fine( the menu button appears), but..... it removes the copyright info from the bottom of the forum (see attached)

Kindred

well, you can't just switch out files between versions....

LOL.... i get that, it is quite obvious that the problem with me not being able to see the "Media" button in the menu has something to do with the subs.php file. I will put it back to the new file but what am i missing in it that makes the "Media" button disappear.

Attached the subs.php file if anyone can figure out what's missing for the menu button that would be great.

Looks to me like the edits did not complete.
No Pm's for support please!

The downloads mod prevented it from installing properly, it should have shown an install error for the subs.php edit.  You can try to uninstall aeva and then the downloads mod then install aeva first and then the downloads mod, or you can just add the subs.php edits yourself.

@ EL34 : I'm not using v1x but have had that problem before. Once the vids 'disappeared' for three days but were visible to most other members. The prob was the servers taking time to communicate properly following an outage by one or the other. AOL is notorious.

Meanwhile, recommend try a different browser and/or clear your current browser of Internet History and Cookies.

BTW - love your nick. Are you a serious hi-fi fan who uses top of the range valved amplifiers? :)

Hi Yogi,
I use EL34's, but in Guitar amps, not HI-Fi.
;D

It's kinda hard to follow my post about this cause stuff is scattered.

Tried IE8, Firefox, chrome
Tried all the tricks, deleting history , cookies,  cache.
Uninstalling flash, re-installing flash.
Turning off the firewall
Turning off Malewarebytes
Tried 5 different computers
I can embed a youtube on my site using an Iframe and view it no probalem.
I can watch the vid at youtube.com, no problem.
I cannot view any of the youtubes using Aeva on two of my forums.

It's drivin me nuts.
I now just right click on the vid's and go watch them on youtube

A "fix" was given already... actually.

EL34

If you are talking about the short youtube url fix, that's not what I am talking about.

If not, please be more specific.

I made a bit of a blunder and deleted the Aeva Lite (7.1.708) mod before uninstalling it so I can't reinstall it now due to the old files still being there.

I checked the Q+A in the opening post but the info on how to manually remove the mod doesn't seem to be there anymore and I can't find a guide anywhere through google.

I'd really appreciated it if some kind soul could tell me how to uninstall it manually and what files to remove as I'm still a real novice with these kind of things.

I'm using the new SMF 2.0 release.

Thanks.
