Getting this error when uploading an image

You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 's_Test_Album/Dir_1','1')' at line 4
File: /var/www/html/Sources/MGallery.php
Line: 1162
Getting this exact same error aswell :/

Hello!
Please, answer me, is there is possibility to create navigation buttons, like "previous image" & "next image"?
Thank you!
In my to-do-list. Something similar to Coppermine. Not in my personal priorities, though. Maybe in Dragooon's ;)
BTW, FYI, he implemented it today and I played a bit with the template and tweaked it. Looks and plays nice. FTW! (WTF?)
I will not make any deals with you. I've resigned. I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered.

Well I feel a little embarrassed, no problems whatsoever, mod installed great. Uploaded req dirs and files to the other themes and it works great. Kudos to Dragoon for creating this mod, and of course not forgetting Nao who is adding his wealth of knowledge ;D

I have this installed on my test site, but before I can add it to my live site I need some extras please;

1. Bulk import/conversion of albums from Coppermine
2. Ability to import at least 10 pics at a time

This is the best free gallery I have seen so far, much easier than coppermine which has to be re-bridged all the time when new versions arrive etc etc.

Many thanks

Bob

A conversion script has been made, but it is designed for 1.1 and will be available once 1.1 is out.
Mass/Multi-Upload is also a default feature of 1.1(You can have a look at it at SMF-Media.com which is running 1.1).

Just one question, how can you insert a pic  from the gallery in a post on the forum?

Yeah, I enjoy how we manage to work together. We're generally working on separate sections of the mod (for instance, he implemented the mass upload tool while I was redoing the templates), and we can help each other via MSN when we're stuck on something. :)
He did the first 90% of the work on the Coppermine converter, and I used it to convert my CP gallery and fix the bugs so that it works flawlessly. (It always helps to have someone who can test it with real life installs!)

You're in for a treat when v1.1 gets released eheh :)
I think we're both targetting a release for around next week. We were rooting for a release on this weekend but the Coppermine thing took longer than expected, and my to-do-list is still quite long.

At this point though, there are so many additions that I'm contemplating renaming the version to v1.52... Those who played Kyodai Mahjongg will know what I mean  :P

Yeah! Plus, Coppermine had a lousy support for templates! I had to redo my Coppermine template every time I made a change to my SMF templates... And it was HTML-only! The agony!
And I never got the comment feature to interface correctly with my SMF membergroups! The apocalypse!
Long live SMG!

I didn't have any problems uploading images (so far, knocks wood), but when I tried to upload a video, I got this:

QuoteGallery
Database Error

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 's_Vids/Dir_1','3')' at line 4
File: /var/www/html/kr/krysiasweb.net/JTLFF/Sources/MGallery.php
Line: 1162

Note: It appears that your database may require an upgrade. Your forum's files are currently at version SMF 1.1.6, while your database is at version 1.1.5. The above error might possibly go away if you execute the latest version of upgrade.php.

I'm confused ---- when I updated from SMF 1.1.5, I did use the "latest version" of upgrade.php. Do I need to download just that file from the SMF Download area and wade through it manually to see which file might still say "1.1.5"?

As for the other... MySQL server version is: 5.0.32, the PHP version is 2.11.9.1.  ??? ??? ???

BYUFanatic

Seems like a nice mod.

Haven't got the chance to play much with it yet.  Will likely wait until the batch upload feature is available first. I take TONS of pictures and videos and I HATE uploading tons of files one at a time. My forum is one that I use for my students at a local high school. So if this works well, they'll definitely get a kick out of it.

I will personally get a kick out of it if it offers thumbnails of videos. My students do a LOT of video projects and being able to see at a glance (the thumbnail) who is in the video would be EXTREMELY useful.

I do have one problem:

I cannot get "gallery" to show up on the top menu bar. It does not show up in any of the themes except the default SMF theme. I can type the URL directly into the address bar and it loads and the admin side works fine as well. But just don't see it on the menu. Can you help me out with adding that to the top menu? The theme I am using is Apollo BB but it doesn't show up in the other default installed themes either (only the SMF theme).

Thanks!

Rob

And another thing...

Is there a way to edit pictures after they're posted? Perhaps I'd want to change the item's info, or the keywords, etc. but I don't see a way to do so. Same thing with adding comments. I don't see how I can comment on a photo.

BYU, on 1.1.x, mods are installed only into the default theme. You have to manually add mods into other, custom, themes.

Yep. I figured I'd have to modify the theme - that's why I'm asking for help. *smile*
