Holy crap, just type "php ffmpeg" on Google and don't start with that! It's the FIRST link that comes up!
We were all n00bs at one point yeah, but the first thing we learn is to use Google when we need to know something!

THANKS...
but I want to share something with you, if I can!
I am a disabled veteran with minor brain damage and SOMETIMES that thinker does not work
like it should and I need the "extra" help.
So.. I will just have to wait until a miracle drug is out there to help me with that and ALL the other ailments I have that is associated with it!
HAVE A GOOD DAY!!

For your information only, think I found a bug  8) I upgraded to the latest version 1.5.6 and now users are receiving this error when trying to access their own profile:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare mgallery() (previously declared in /home/usera/www.********.com/Sources/Profile.php:2930) in /home/usera/www.********.com/Sources/Profile.php on line 2954

Thats not a bug, you had a double install. Remove the duplicate code.

Many thanks Dragoon, removing the duplicate block solved, I guess the previous 1.5.5 uninstall didn't remove the chunk of code yet it reported the uninstall as successful without any failure. Keep up the good work both of you.

@ash: Was likely your custom theme. Package manager won't undo manual edits.

@dragoon: were you able to read my reply on page 153? If so what's your response?

I manually installed the mod version 1.5.6 in smf version 1.1.8 and the single upload function does not work properly.  It appears to be working, but the file size is 0 in the db, and is 1 byte smaller than the file being uploaded.  I have tried using bbc tags in a post on the main board, and the file appears empty.  The jpeg file appears fine on my computer.  Therefore the file is being corrupted in the upload.  I do not have FFMPEG, GD2, ImageMagick, IMagick, or MagickWand installed on my server.  phpinfo shows that I am way below the max size limitations; I am testing with a file smaller than 100k.  Also, I have Simple Image Shack, and Advanced Image Upload, and both work fine.  Also I can upload using the file attachment and it works fine.  What could be the problem ?  Can someone help please ?

I'm using 1.5.6 on SMF 2.0/RC1

I have 3 top level folders defined.  Photos, Music & Video.  Under Photos I have a few sub folders defined.  I have edited a couple of them to have icons other than the default, but I'd like to return them to the default icon.  I couldn't find a way to do that.

So I downloaded "folder.png" (right click - save as) and then uploaded that as the icon file for the first of the two custom icon folders, which worked.  But now I can't get the last one with a custom icon to change.  No matter what I do it uses the custom icon, which is simply one of the photos that are inside of the folder.

It looks like I got it to work.  After loggin in this morning I see that it had changed to the last one I tried to upload, and apparently was cached.  So instead of the default icon, it has a copy of the default that I uploaded.  It would be a nice addition to put a "reset to default" option for the icon.

How can I change the look of the comment, report, delete and move popup boxes?

I use a dark custom theme and the light grey background with black text doesn't really work.

I'm pretty sure I need to edit the style.css file in the mgallery folder in my custom theme, but it's not particularly obvious what to edit.

I've attached screenshots of the comments box from default and custom theme.

Any ideas?

Thanks Özgür`, I'll have a play around with that file.

Have played around a bit. Still not exactly sure which parts of the code affect the popup boxes for comment, report etc.

Hi folks.

I've installed medica gallery 1.5.6, however when I try to apply mod, I get this message- "Some of the files the package manager needs to modify are not writable. This needs to be changed by logging into FTP and using it to chmod or create the files and folders. Your FTP information may be temporarily cached for proper operation of the package manager."

Can anyone advise what files I need to change to writable?

There's a FTP setting in your Packages area, I believe. Enter your FTP data there.
You're probably using PHP safe mode so you'd best wait for SMG 1.6 which will also add FTP compatibility because it creates folders itself, and will meet the same issues as SMF itself.

Hey,

Great mod!

Are there any plans to have the option for the mod to post to a catagory with details of newly uploaded files?

Cheers,

I just install the SMF Media Gallery 1.5.6 and I can only see the GALLERY button on defualt theme. I using fresh installs of everything smf 1.1.8 and new tinyportal. Can I get my gallery buttons to show up on all themes? Did I miss something important? Please direct me to a similar situation for troubleshooting so I may make the necesarry changes thank you :)
If and when I can help someone, I will. My information might not be accurate, so if anyone corrects me if I am wrong, I shall not be offended.

All mods are designed for the default theme; this has been stated at least 1 gazillion times by the mod authors.  If you are not using the default theme, it is up to you to make the changes that affect your theme.  For SMF Media Gallery, the only file that you need to worry about is index.template.php; everything else is in the standard folders.  If you look at the manual install instructions for this file, you should be able to determine how to change your index.template.php.  I have also seen that the theme authors are also willing to help in some cases.

I hate to sound redundant but I am willing to donate to help get the code mod needed to display created slideshows in TP blocks and articles.
