Well I'd rather not do something that will bring more support questions in the likes of, "You said you support embedding imageshack pictures but it refuses them when I put in the link, you sucker! Curse you and your family for 6 generations, I hate you."
(Yes that's a typical support question in the real world.)

Hi,
I have uploaded and installed this package, but I see no "gallery" button on my site.  I'm running a very basic theme "Babylon," if it makes a difference.  Any idea where the button or access point to my gallery might be hiding?  Or is there something I need to do to create one?

I just finished that feature. It wasn't that "quick", it took me several hours to make it.
Basically it is an extension of Aeva's collaboration with SMG. It retrieves any item you're sending it, and will do everything possible to integrate it as a regular item (thumb+preview), except the full stay will be on the remote server.

Since I said SMG2 was now feature-frozen (as well as I'm being called a punching bag while I'm pulling my hair out after hours of work on SMG), this feature will instead be in Foxy! v1.08, to be released before Monday evening. I need to add more stuff and my current code isn't ready for a RC3 release (I was planning to release RC3 today but then your request forced me to modify several functions to add more settings to them.)

So -->

SMG2 RC3 (hopefully the last RC): tonight or Monday morning.
Foxy! 1.08 (with picture embedding): most likely Monday morning.

PS: the remote link needs to point to a picture, BTW, not a HTML file. If it's a HTML file, I'm going to have to write custom code for all possible sites...

For customers of the Foxy! add-on, the new feature I mentioned above is now available at the usual place.
Since you are all already beta testers for SMG, you can also download the tentative release of RC2 over at smf-media.com's SVN page. RC2 (revision 1089) is needed to use the new feature.
I tested the process myself several times and it worked perfectly. I'm not sure I will have time to release RC2 to the public tonight, so... maybe tomorrow morning.

! Fixed a hard to spot bug when editing an item and replacing the big icon
! Captions shouldn't be shown on non-image files, except for video/audio
! Posting an item without specifying an album ID was broken in the last release
! The uninstaller failed to remove files... Ever since v1.0! Now that's an epic fail.
! Fixed a logic error in embed_video(), although it never caused a problem to me...
! Fixed support for Javascript-enabled Aeva-powered embeds... Same remark.
! Don't download a thumbnail if it's corrupted

Thanks for the hard work! But I'm little bit confused

Does it mean I need to buy Foxy! for the feature to work?
Will it be available in SMG itself?
