it is great to see a new version of an already great software...do you know i it will be compatible with Tiny Portal or will that come with your final version?

Bloc is working on it. Not too far off I think.

The only reason I'm not upgrading my largest forum to SMF 2 yet. Be good to him over there ;) Serve him some coffee etc.  ::)

Great to see that this is finally out. I've been checking the site every other day to see if there were any news, rumors or anything on the public release or on how the Charter member RC was doing.
I've been really lazy and not updated my 2.0 Beta 4 to RC1... since I always though this one was around the corner and I'll have to redo all the Icelandic translations(since they are all crap anyway) and theme modifications and stuff like that over again when I update....
I was not keen on updating to RC1 if RC2 was coming shortly after :) But boy, are your release cycles long.

Anyway. Awesome job on the release. I'm looking forward to testing the deployment on my staging server and I'm sure my userbase is looking forward to getting rid of the most annoying bugs.

The Add a Ban page is totally screwed, I couldn't find an appropriate board to tell you but look at it, it looks awful. :S

Might want to open a topic in Feedback & Discussion with a screenshot - what is actually wrong with it, and so on...

[SAP]Francis: be sure to include details of your browser and OS. "Screwed' does not tell us much.

Gah, well, the first part of the forum is in place, but after the second checkbox, the whole rest of the form is over the administration panel header, which looks kinda ugly... Let me get a screenshot.

I have a new hosting acct now and wanted to transfer.

Now, should I upgrade on the old hosting account before the transfer or should I upload the new release on the new hosting account and then transfer the database from the old account to the new one?

Keep your old forum and wait for the final release.

Depends on what version you are on now, but I would suggest backing up thoroughly, and upgrading before the move.
