SMF 2.0 Release Candidate 2 Public is out!

Great to see, especially since I'm off the next two days... That will give me time to get SMF+G2 upgraded to work with 2.0 RC2, and test out other packages in preparation for upgrading my Archie site to 2.0 RC2

It is a typical release candidate upgrade. You cannot just use a patch. Patches will be available once 2.0 Final is released but not before.

Thats why Arantor wanted to give some of his mods away, he didn't want to go through the updating process :p

So far the only ones to update their mods are Arantor and vbgamer45. Way to stay on top guys.

Actually, all of the mods I was giving away already worked fine in RC2 Charter release... though there were more than a few changes for RC2 public, which I didn't factor in...

A number of them do have proper RC2 support now though, and I'm hoping to get nearly all of them up straight before I go to bed.

thanks Arantor rex,just a question,i already have SMF 2.0 RC1.2,do i have to do the same process as i did when i updated from 1.1.10 to SMF 2.0 RC1.2 ?

i have a question will smf 1.1.10 be updatable to smf 2.0 when the final is out? if so will it be easy as i have a lot of mods

It will be updatable (it is now, in fact). But you will have to get updated versions of the mods and your theme because almost every 1.1.x mod will need rewriting for 2.0.
