I did as long as I could. I've got 50gig monthly bandwith and 1.5 mil+ page views per month, my host said I was hogging resources and forced me to get a dedi.

No, it used to be about that. Now it has a lot more features, such as RSS feeds and the SMG button in post boxes (to upload a file in two clicks.) Etc.

I'm playing with Foxy! now. Sort of, I have custom themes so I need to do some work to get the buttons.

I'm using about 200GB monthly on my shared hosting... And I'm still paying 4€ a month for it. Of course it's a French host (OVH.com) and I don't know if their other European affiliates offer the same quality of service.
Still, I'm sure you can find better shared hosting!

Yeah, I assume people who buy Foxy! are usually more aware of how a mod works in a custom theme... Saving me some precious time

yes, I think your host is pulling something...   I have more bandwidth and views on a shared host without any issues at all

I wouldn't be surprised, they got me for $350 / month for a few years. I moved to a much cheaper better dedi last summer.  When I moved they offered me a VPS, and knew then I'd been suckered.

I read further on the Foxy! forum, no post button for SMF 1.x.

There are a lot of nice new features with Foxy though, great work!

Ah, yes indeed.
I could probably work it out but it'd force me to hack into SMF1 code and it'd be ugly. Most Foxy! users are on SMF2 so it doesn't help. (This is the only feature that doesn't work on SMF1 btw, and it's only because SMF1 doesn't support opening a new window via Javascript from within a button, while SMF2 has a function for that.)

There are a lot of nice new features with Foxy though, great work!

Nao is there a way to set a minimum time between searches in gallery (as for the "normal" search)?

I'd be just as happy if it wasn't a BBC button and it could be launched from Additional Options like the spell checker, just a thought.

I think it's easy to get lost in the Foxy! demo site if you don't understand French. I was lost.

It's not my case but... couldn't spammers easily slow and slow down the server doing searches continously..? Isn't it also a "security problem"..? Maybe putting "KO" the server they can manage to workaround some protections... don't know... surely I'm wrong...

Search is a permission by membergroup, so you could disable it for guests or more.

I have a question.. are there any other files besides aeva.english, aeva.french, and aeva.french utf, that i have to edit to change the texts in media Posting page ?

I wanted to change some text in the upload page (index.php?action=media;sa=post;album=2)...so Yes i found the texts in my default>language>aeva.english. And i did change the text.. but funny thing is, if you open my upload page that texts are still the same as if what i did in my aeva language file absolutely has no connection with that texts..
