General support topic for Aeva Media (Latest release: July 28, 2010)

Hi all,

Not sure if this is the right place to ask. I have installed Aeva and I use the template January by Crips. Even adding the code manually to this theme the Media button does not appear in the menu correctly. I am also using 1.1.11.

It appears at the far right as a text link and doesn't look right. It doesn't appear as a button like the rest of the menu. Can anyone help me to solve this?

I am a noob so you would have to explain it quite clearly. Sorry.

No. First two yes. Unseen is like Unread posts, for items.

Odd, I just checked the moderation log and don't see where any of these posts were reported...

In case you're implying I'm lying -- yes, I did report the message. I wrote a short report message in the likes of, "Seriously?" and hit the Send button. So, either SMF is buggy (yet again), or someone in the moderation team didn't want anyone to see that message, and made sure to delete the report and its log.
In any case, it's not encouraging for me.........

Nao: I don't think that's the case. I just think it was cleared out by whoever 'dealt' with it.

Perhaps the mod log should be restricted in terms of who can clear it.

Never had to use my mod log anyway... My own moderators are trustworthy...

I used it a couple of times, not because of a lack of trust, but because of things being done that probably shouldn't have been (topic approvals that IMO at the time shouldn't have been approved) and I wanted to see who.

hi all i just installed smf n simpleportral i would like to know how i can add buttons  i mean links to menu as download gallery etc can u plz help me n i wanna know how to add youtube vidios cus i tried but didnt work is there problem or has smf disabled html codes?  n when u post news on portral how can i reduce the txt msg to not be shown all but half of it so the other half ppl can click  read more to see it thankyou:)

Admins are the only ones that can post HTML for security reasons.

For youtube, look at this:

You will need to ask the mod's author for the download gallery. The buttons would be towards the bottom of the index.template.php in your theme's folder.

Foxy! users get support for Foxy!, that's pretty much all. And it's already a lot, given the size of the add-on

Do you have the AEVA mod installed?
If you only put the url for the youtube video it will only display a video if you have the AEVA mod installed, otherwise you will have to use the html bbcode around the embed code for the youtube video you want.

I gave you the link to it in my previous post. Download this version as its the latest:
Aeva-Media-1.1a.zip

Then go to Admin>Packages>Download Packages

Upload that zip file, then click install mod. If no tests fail. Click install. Please note you will have to make the manual custom edits if you are using a custom theme besides the default.
