The script file is called convert.php... Just extract and run that from your root! It's in the mod page... Here...

Ok, dumb me, I finally figured out that I needed to go the the mod download page and I found a converters zip file.

Got that and uploaded the converter for lite to my home directory for SMF.

Ran converters.php from my browser and it started up, so far so good.

However; when it gets to the convert items step I get the following error message:

An Error Has Occurred!                                      The database value you're trying to insert does   not exist: id_file                             Back


The version I am trying to convert from is SMF Gallery Lite                                     2.0.12.  I opened up converters.php but there was nothing there to indicate which versions of lite could be converted.

Help greatly appreciated

Seems SMF doesn't check the signature for HTML errors before storing it.
That sig had several.
Thank goodness he fixed it!

That sig caused a problem in IE8, compatability on, but not in IE8 with compatability off.

But this is off-topic -- probably belongs in a site comment or bug report.

You need to learn how to use permissions and chmod. You don't type in 4 digits -- you type in 3.  You don't use 777 except where and why you understand that you absolutely need to, and what the consequences are. Try 755 first. Read my sig FAQs > Proper Permissions.

And please write in proper English, not texteeze. Your posts are almost impossible to read.

Last time I was called to "fix" that error, I redid the conversion process from scratch, and... never got any errors to show up.

Do you recall which version of Gallery Lite you did the conversion from ?

It might be that the version I am using has modified the table layout or naming within the structure of MySQL, dunno, am hardly an expert at this stuff.

It's way simpler to use Aeva Media than to actually write it... Take time and check everything out!
