Thanks Nao but I have to ask you for more details:

1. how can I disable Highslide Image Viewer for AeMe? Setting "NO" in Admin...Layout/Use Highslide (animated transitions)? How can I have highslide effect in AeMe after this?

2. all albums and folders was unchanged. there is the old directory tree, used before, with SMF 1.1.11.
I think is a little bit harder to recreate all albums because these are user's albums. Should I recreate them all, manually? huh! :|

AEVA Media is one of the greatest mods created for SMF! I've used it since it was called SMF-Media Gallery version 1.20? This is one of the mods that made me change from phpBB to SMF!

And I've got a little question, how do I remove the rounded edges? My site and forum style's have hard egdes, like squares...the rouded edges kinda breaks "the flow" if you know what I mean.

I am frustrated with the lack of support for this product. I read that you will support your product for money then that you won't support it because you don't need the money. Yes that is upsetting. I am human..I have feelings. Get over yourself and support your product.

It may be totally insignificant to you but it isn't to others. There is a need for the ability to use Xfire videos. I have seen several requests for it. I've also seen you say since you don' t use Xfire there is no need for it in the mod. I am totally perplexed. I am not lashing out at you. Just stating what is obvious. Do you want to be paid for your time to figure this out or do you not? It's that simple.

Thanks for your assistance but that doesn't seem to work either. Will keep exploring to see. There are many people who would like to see this available in the list from what I have read. The mod author has pretty much given up on any support from what I have read which is sad because this is such a great mod. If a solution cannot be found for Xfire, I will need to seek an alternative. Any suggestions as to what mod to go to?

Can you explain what you mean. I'm learning codes just yet and don't know where the incorrect codes are.

Do you know how about the button media in the controlbar?
I'm seeing it when I'm logged in as admin. I marked everybody to read, but when I'm logging in as a member there is no mediacontrol.
I made a test album, but I'm the only one who can view as an admin.

I said I'd do it for money in JUNE 2009, after which the "customer" never got in touch with me again. You're complaining that I'm no longer doing it, now, in MARCH 2010. It's been nearly a year...!

Now I installed the AeVa 1.1a SVN latest version on my

and I have a few problems with it.

Well, when in normal mode,
the picture will be displayed by Highslide.
But the picture name is not displayed, but the blue colored PortaMX Highslide footer.
So how could I enable the Filename as the footer inside teh Highslide popup ?

Also cool would be, if the comment would also be displayed in the Highslide popup
directly below the picture.
Normal newbie users will not see the comments at all,
cause they will never find the link to switch to filestack mode to see the comments.

In Normal View I see, that there is a comment below the thumbnail,
but I can NOT click the comment directly, I first have to switch to
Filestack mode to get to the picture without HighSlide and then can finally read the
comment...
This should be changeable, so that there is already a link to the comment
from the Normal View setup.

Also how do I enable the 5 pics in a row instead of just 3 pics in a row in
Filestack viewing mode ?

Also why at all 2 viewing modes ?
Couldn´t this have been put all in one mode ?

So to find the mode, where I can add comments will be very
confusing for a newbie...
Also couldn´t you just have always a quick comment window form open
under the picture and not need to click first the plus signs at the comment bar ?
Newbies will never find this how to add comments...

Also the picture parameters should not be directly below the picture,
but first should come the comments...for me the picture parameters like
direct link to it, etc, are not so important and could be listed at the very bottom of the page...
or shrinkable and not viewable as default...

Well, I am just starting to play with it, so sorry, if I ask things,
which might have already a solution.

Second, I have to state that this mod is very well supported.
You will not find any unresolved problem. This mod is working rock solid out of the box. Most problems are "handmade by user" and Nao is paying permanent attention to make sure that it is not this mod which is causing a glitch.

"More supported websites" are a complete different story which has nothing to do with the mod support itself.. It's Nao's decision if a website is worth enough to spend time on writing code for it.

The best example is your request. This mod is so well done, that even a programming-idiot like me is able to add embed code for another website.
I am not telling other people to spend their time on something that fit my needs. If someone decides to offer something useful,  I am the lucky guy, if I need more than that, I try to make it on my own.

Third, this website offers some very interesting features for gamers.
There is a free recording software which allows easy recording while playing.
Additionally a user is allowed to upload this files without the 10 minute capture.
I'm not sure about the free space for video files, but I think it's 1 gigabyte.
(edit: and it's all free!)

Personally I would really like to see this site growing. It has the potential to become a big benefit for gamers – but also some horrible bad habits.
One of them is the video player itself.

I have created an account there and want to use it for an additional feature for my own page.
So I spend days to get familiar with x-fire itself, days to get the idea of regular expressions and with the way this mod is working.

It seems to be something else because I installed a NEW SMF 2.0 RC3 + AeMe 1.1a (same server, different domain) and I'm getting exactly the same errors! (no highslide working, no resize to fit screen for new uploaded images)

Also, it seems to be a problem with creating "mgal_data" subfolders: all subfolders are created as FILES !!!. WTF??
Same problems on the "old" SMF and "Sources/Aeva-getid3" which initially was created as FILE, not as FOLDER!!! After uninstall/delete files/reinstall the Aeva-getid3 was finally created as folder.

So, it seems to be something wrong with my environment+AeMe+SMF2.0RC3 combination because before 2.0RC3 everything was running without noticeable problems.

Aeva Media 1.1b is out.
It has all of this week's fixes (mainly thumbnail stuff and improved ImageMagick support.)
If you have IM on your server, please enable it in the image handler. It's better than GD2 from my experience.

As for rounded edges... Are you using Opera 10.5x? Just delete all border-radius lines in am.css!

after manually created  subfolders (under mgal_data), .../Sources/Aeva-getid3, .../Themes/default/aeva and a full regeneration of thumbnails and previews things seems to be as expected...

the highslide feature still not working.
clicking on a thumbnail will stuck in "LOADING..."
"right-click" and "open in new window" over a thumbnail is working, so the file is in the right place

the folders created as files is still strange, but is resolved manually

still having  the ugly "vertically" AeMe menu
