Assuming you're using 1.1b and SMF 1.1.11, follow the instructions from http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?action=parse;mod=977;attach=138370;smf_version=1.1.11 where it relates to index.template.php - the code appears to be the same.

I've made the modifications and it doesn't seem to create the button on my theme... :\

All modifications have been made to specified files as well as to my theme's index.template.php .

Excuse me...there are three areas where permissions can be assigned. 


admin > aeva media > permission profiles

admin > members > permissions > general permissions > membergroup

aeva media > album > edit


It could be in the permission profiles, and each album must be assigned one or no one will be able to use it.  Another issue I faced before is if a member belongs to more than one group.   

In.....

admin > members > permissions > general permissions > membergroup

I gave them ALL permissions......even admin


In......

aeva media > album > edit

I checked all, and everybody can view my albums, but they can not leave comment, or rate them.

In....

admin > aeva media > permission profiles

I have default selected and it says....

Warning: this page is only for album permissions. General access permissions for Aeva Media are to be set membergroup by membergroup, in the regular administration area.

Which I did, am I missing something?

In the permissions profile, did you click the 'default' profile and edit it?

You MUST click the profile and give EACH group permissions!

I found this by doing a search for my problem (which I ALWAYS do before posting)
Being frustrated from hours of trying to fix it my self and looking for a fix on this site, I overlooked the version, sorry to bother you, and I now have every thing working properly. ( I think)

Why are you posting in someone else's thread which has nothing to do with your comments/questions? I will answer, but bad form old chum...

1- AeMe actually is probably the cleanest mod...   the fact that other mods change things or cause errors with the AeMe install is not this mods fault at all.

2- do you know how to manually install?  You don't make the manual changes and then expect the mod to show no errors. You install despite the errors and then correct the sections which were not able to be auto-installed.

3 and 4 - AeMe is added into the admin tools...   gallery and embedding have separate sections. You have to grant permissions for the gallery and turn ON the embedding. and no... using the youtube embed code is not this mod...  and if you allow your users to do that, it is a security risk.

5- yes. See gallery admin functions and permissions

6- I believe Nao has stated that he is not adding any additional sites to the Aeva portion. There are instruction on adding sites on the mod page.

I know this is not officially supported here, but I have a simple question.

When in the media section ....http://mysite.com/forums/index.php?action=media, the navigation link part says ... mysite.com » Media

I have Simple Portal installed too, so when I click  mysite.com it leads to the portal, instead of the forum.

Can somebody tell me what .php file this is controlled in?

You'll have a better chance asking at SP than here, first this is not supported anymore in this board, only over Nao's website, and what you are asking is the normal behavior anyway, so you'll want to change that in SP.

I'm having some issues with Aeva on my site (http://norakor.com/simplemachinesforum/index.php?action=media [nofollow]). Whenever I try to use the mass upload, no matter if it's only two small photos it crashes Safari. I can upload photo after photo is I do it one at a time with out any problems.

Next I have a album that went bad and now I can not get rid of it. I just labeled it Bad Album and hid it inside another one for the time. I can move it but thats it, I chose the delete tab and the page refreshes and its still there.

I keep getting users telling me they get (The upload folder is full. Please try a smaller file and/or contact an administrator). but I cant seem to make this happen for myself.

I have had these problems since I changed over to Aeva.

Make sure the folders belong to you (sometimes when you move hosts the ownership of folders can get messed up.) If you can't do it see if your host can. If that doesn't help I would post on the mods official site for support.
