It looks like you're missing that vital file. Did the mod install correctly? You should parse aeva on the mod site, then use the guide to help you manually remove the code edits that were placed on your forum's files to get you back. Then you can try it again.

Having lot of problems with current host. Aeva giving all kinds of problems. It's working on my home server beautifully so I am probably thinking its the host playing up. I am with vervehosting.

Can anybody suggest a host..where Aeva is working, with highslide and everything.

your post makes sense especially not mentioning which country you live in (prefer local?) - who is your current host?

Aeva? lots of people have problems with that and it's not their host. Give Nao a few more years and he might catch it

Started a 2.0 RC3 sight to evaluate...

Installed this mod and can't get it to work; I edited sources/load.php as suggested; it is still not embedding videos...

Am I missing a setting someplace?  Everything is set the way it should be but it is not working...


Gallery really works nice tough very; I'm impressed...

Forum Guy, just because YOU are having a problem with AeMe doesn't mean "lots of people" have a problem...
Also, your problem is a VERY trivial one -- a laughing matter, even. It's fixed by adding one line (ONE!) in the CSS file. It's not exactly what I would call a showstopper. Of course, for most people, when they find something that doesn't work well for them, they will automatically consider the mod is bad. I could simply not have added the "introduction" feature in AeMe, you would never have noticed it wasn't there, and wouldn't have complained like that.

nin79, AeMe is pretty resource intensive in some situations. If it doesn't work well for you, try with another gallery system, but I very much doubt it'll work better. Galleries, per se, are hard on the server. Unless of course you're using a very small, very simple gallery with no previews, etc.

I don't think i am having resource issues as yet, but thanks for that info. The main problems I am having is that

1) When I upload the image..it doesn't display it, saying its 0 KB.

2) Sometimes the display of Aeva is not smooth. I get the menu of Home, Admin, Unseen, Seach as a bullet point list.

3) The highslide doesn't work saying Loading... , but sometimes it does work

4) When I FTPed the images, the previews dont work, but the full size image works when you click on the previews.

5) When I try to mass upload, and click on the "Select Files" -> nothing happens, sometimes it does

6) I tried uploading Aeva as a directory instead of uploading the zip file, it did install correctly, but then it crashed my smf.

I have tried installing in several different ways - uploaded as zip file, uploaded as folder, setup smf+aeva on local server and transferred it to vervehosting and then set the paths etc...everytime i dont get all the 6 errors listed above..but atleast 2-3 of them.

The only time it has worked perfectly is on my local server.

I just want to give it a try on a different host to see what happens.

thanks for the great mod but unfortunately i have a problem where when a file is uploaded it created the page for it in the media gallery but the file is just empty its a 0kb file so there isn't actually anything there. the problems started when i used smg and aeva when they were separately and as far as i could tell it just stopped working randomly. when rc3 was released and i saw you had combined aeva and smg i though i would try again and see if the updated aeva media and smf would rectify the problem but it didn't. can you think of any reason why this is happening as i would greatly appreciate your help and would hate for the foxy mod that i bought whilst updating to aeva media went to waste.

You mean the one that tuns it on under Aeva auto-embedding admin?  It is enabled...

Can anyone give me a step by step process description for converting from a Coppermine gallery to Aeva Media?  I have downloaded the converters and unzipped the files.  Now what to do?     Thanks!

Have you considered that Aeva might stop being developed for future versions of SMF ?. I would suggest you to keep Coppermine if you are happy with it.

Yeah, that's always a possibility.  At the moment I'm working with someone who may wish to change.     I kinda need to be well informed in the event it takes place.
