Hi everyone !

I have a question: Youtube links works great.. and I really like the plugin/mod. The problem is that under every Youtube video posted on my forum.. there's the youtube link displayed as well. I don't really want that link under the videos.. I just want the video embeded on my forum. What can I do in order to remove it ?

You can change the settings. Go to Auto-Embedding -->Store & show video titles-->No dont store and dont show.

And sorry if my questions sound a bit weird.. but I'm a beginner when it comes about SMF and SMF related. Just heard about it last week.. and since than I'm testing it in order to see what does it can... cause I'm pretty unsure about what to choose between phpBB and SMF.

@ aedlion : I'm a bit confused on this one but you could increase the size of the thumbnail settings. Click refresh f5 or hard refresh Ctrl and f5 together once you've done it to clear the cache if the change this doesn't take effect immediately.

YogiBear, thanks for paying attention to my problem.
Thumbnails are OK. The problem is that I'm uploading video files with resolution 1280 × 720 and they show outside the borders of the forum.
I want to have the option to set smaller sizes for preview, but showing actual resolution on full screen or download.
I can set auto-resizing for pictures, but I don't see such an option for videos.

My first thought it to check...

Aeva > Admin > Configuration > Auto Embedding > Maximum width for embedded videos

...but I've an idea this is a pixel problem rather than an Aeva one. Similar problems have been reported concerning the width of forum banners.

What screen resolution are you using? Try increasing then decreasing and see if there is a difference. 


Edit : now I think I know what you mean. Try reducing the number of previews in the line ie. I suspect you have five in a line, recommend set to three (the human eye likes odd numbers)

Videos embedded in posts are just fine. But when you open Aeva Media and play a video, it spreads in its actual size. I need auto-resizing to present videos smaller than their actual size, as for pictures. Thanks for the support.

Aeva 1.4c on SMF 1.1.12.



I've masked with black my IP and the url, but you can see there that with red is marked the path.... and everytime is changed.. is something else. And I think I noticed when the system gets these errors... it gets them only when I'm accessing the Aeva Settings options available under administrator field.
But what could be the cause ? How cand I fix this issue ? And more than everything.. does these errors compromise the security or the running of my forum ?

oh, that's easy then...   add that text string to the aeva text file and to modifications.english.php

I'm back.
First of all.. the only Modifications.english.php was here /public_html/****.**/forum/Themes/default/languages/Modifications.english.php
On the other hand.. there was already a line that cointains that string:

So.. it has no effect. Still.. same problems.
