Hello,

I am using smf 1.1.11 si aeva 7.07.06 and I just saw that the videos posted sometime before august 2009 are not shown. In the tags generated by aeva i see this at the end of the link " #ws-lq-lq2-hq ". Can anybody tell me why this ending was added and what can i do to fix it, except changing it manualy for all the videos posted before august?

OK I take it back, I read and I don't understand what to do. When I uninstall the mod it crashed the forum. The manual install/uninstall instructions don't make any sence to me. I need help.

Btw could you please add if possible option to rename physical folder in album settings?

Also...it is possible just to move folder with photos to album root folder and using some option create all database entries? Smth like mass importer from some folder on server?

have just downloaded and installed the latest b1 release but i still recieve the error

when i try to edit any albums.

This error occurs for everyone when they try to edit any aspect of thier album, even if they dont change anything.

I get the same error...
In your newest release, I get this error...
I see the post about owner_id, but those were fixed...
I see in that in the Aeva-Gallery2.php file there are instances of $owner_display_name and $owner_name, not sure if that's the problem...

What else is it then?

All the old albums that had no owner are now owned by Me, the other admins are unable to add albums beneath them, they can only create albums under their own name.

But what is your current version (or SVN revision) number?
Honestly, are you POSITIVE you are using Beta 1, the particular version that adds support for that feature? (Because you can't expect Aeva Media to retroactively add features in your back, can you?)

@Vyache, dungeon1uk> Sorry, my bad... Even the latest release has this bug. I thought of making the change for adding albums, but not for editing them. (I realized the error yesterday but was too busy to post about it.)

Make sure you have the latest (silent release) of Beta 1. Now, just open Aeva-Gallery2.php, search for $new_owner_id and replace with $owner (you could have figured it out from my previous posts on the subject )
Will re-release, as Beta 1.1 or something, later today. I don't know if I'll find time to add extra features.

@selket> ALL videos, are you sure? First of all, you only gave me a YouTube link... Secondly, I just tested on my site, and all of my old YouTube videos still embed fine. The ending was added by Aeva to store the list of quality levels that used to exist for that video, so that the user could choose his favorite quality (LQ, HD, etc.) Unfortunately, YouTube removed that ability about a month or two after I introduced the change, and I was not informed about it until another month or two later. I removed the featured in Aeva 7.x, but videos still work. Aeva will just ignore the extra variables. (It will only add the ones that are still valid, such as ws = widescreen.)

@tfs> Apparently it's for my own good. I'm not saying I disagree. As for the album list thingy, what do you suggest I do? Add yet another setting in the admin? To say what? 'Prevent users from seeing membergroups'? But what if all members are in a default primary membergroup? They will be hidden, too...

Re: install issues are not my fault. See SMF staff.
Re: directories. In what way are they unreadable? These look like perfectly valid folder names to me (even if awkward.)
Re: renaming: not for now. Maybe later when I modify the folder structure to get rid of Dir_1 for the first x items (one of my intentions. This was something devised by Dragooon, I never liked it, as most albums have less than the maximum number of items... It's a pure waste of space.)

Installation notes

• If you currently have any version of Aeva Media, Aeva or SMF Media Gallery (SMG) installed, make sure to uninstall them first!! If you don't do it, Aeva Media will simply not work, and it may also crash your forum and steal your wife.
• After installing Aeva Media, make sure to visit the admin area where you'll find an entire menu entry dedicated to the mod. There, you'll be able to read more about the mod, setup your permissions, enable or disable settings, check for the latest version, etc.

I don't think this should be happening. Can someone confirm? Is this with Aeva 7.x or Aeva Media 1.x?
Karl had already dealt with this long ago and I don't believe I broke it.
Anyway, if it's broken, I'll fix it. But not until someone confirms

Hi,

When I try to save any album after editing in Aeva Media, I get this error:

The database value you're trying to insert does not exist: owner_id

and nothing is being saved. I am the admin and owner of the album and creating the album is no problem.

This a fairy new set up of SMF 2.0 RC2 I used the alpha 3 (?) version, but didn't use the gallery option. Yesterday I uninstalled the alpha and installed Aeva Media 1 Beta1 and played around with the gallery part.

Err, yes, I don't see why they wouldn't?
Your general albums will become Featured albums, that's the only difference I think. It really feels the same.
Still, you may want to backup your database tables before you do that. (The gallery folder isn't changed AFAIK.)
