This album's directory couldn't be properly created, please make sure mgal_data/ and mgal_data/albums/ are chmodded to 0777 or 0755
Both folder is either on 755 and 777, no go.

@stigmatyr> There are no longer any general albums... Only *featured* albums. You can switch back and forth between non-featured and featured state. So you can't argue that you just want 'general albums to be general'. It no longer exists. If you can't live without general albums, use SMG.

The problem is that the number of child levels is infinite. If you add an item to a sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-album, would you expect the sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-album, sub-sub-sub-sub-album, sub-sub-sub-album, sub-sub-album, sub-album and album numbers to be increased by 1? Or just that particular album, and then sometimes you show that said album has children that do have items? (Which you can't always do due to a lack of space...)

yes, in smf 2.0 rc2

but works fine in 1.1.11

I am doing nothing different on install of aeva, on different versions of smf other than the upgrade to smf 2.0 rc2. i have now installed smf, upgraded & installed aeva 11 times to smf 2.0 rc2 and everytime it doesnt work, but i have installed aeva twice to 1.1.11 with no problems (and like i said, wow. it really is a fantastic mod)

I just need to get the mod to work in smf 2.0 rc2 now, somehow.

Listen, if you can send me FTP details by PM, I'll try to fix this for SMF2.
If you have BOTH smf versions installed somewhere so I can compare between the two, it'd be even better. But the SMF2 install would be what I need most (being able to find out which line of the code won't correctly execute.)

Yesterday night I looked into it and found out that this bug does not ONLY occur when file permissions are wrong. Sometimes it can be due to something else, hence my request!

You mean, changing the permission *profiles* for all albums at once?
No, but you can do it with a SQL query via phpMyAdmin, if you really have dozens of albums to change, it might be faster to do it that way.

OK , another question. How can i use the EMBED tag for embedding pictures from an users album ?! I didn't find the way to do....*hmpf*

What's your embed tag?
Aeva Media still uses the SMG tag...

If you try the IMG tag, it won't work, because of SMF security issues.

Go into the Media center, click the pic you wish to embed.  When the pic comes up, click 'Details' in the lower right corner.  Below the pic will be two embed codes and a direct link address.  HTH.    

BTW, use 'BBC Embed Code' to embed in your own forum.  Use 'HTML Embed' code to embed it in another site.


Another helpful hint in case anyone can use it:
While in this view, note the buttons below.  'Download' and 'Edit' are of interest.  If you've wiped a pic off your computer but would like to Photoshop it later, download it, and perform your edits.  Then return to that place in the Media and click 'Edit'.  It will allow you to upload the new (edited) file to replace the old one.   


I can't give Nao enough kudos on this mod.  It's above and beyond top-notch!

Thx a lot; i disabled "SHOW ITEM LINKING CODE" in admin :-) Never used this before; i just use AEVA to browse members gallery's.
